What a magical place. Your first view of the mount takes your breath away. The castle is very ininteresting particularly as the family still live there. The views from the mount across the bay are just fabulous. I was lucky enough to see a double rainbow right over the castle. I wish I hadn't been driving or there would be an amazing photograph.

“Magical day !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 November 2013 via mobile

From start to finish this day out was a magical experience. We got the boot over to the island which was just fantastic, they had a lovely walk up to the house. The views on the way were fantastic and the sea is so blue. After a tour through the house which at times was tearful as it was so beautiful. Once on the beach we set up our picnic , there was lots of space on even a busy day. Whilst having a champagne picnic I was proposed to. I really can not think of a more memorable place to have hot engaged. Would recommend a visit to the plant shop , excellent value and choice for a keepsake of your trip. We then walked back to the mainland as the tide was out and I had a tear in my eye as it had been such an amazing day.

“So atmospheric”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 November 2013 via mobile

Took our friends accross and had great fun all day. A healthy climb to be rewarded by a most intetesting story of the castle and the people who have lived there. Good food in the restaurant and then a boat ride back to Marazion.

“amazing place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 November 2013

We arrived on a rainy, windy day but the tide was out and we walked to the island. We didn't have time to tour the island but it was worth it just to walk across the causeway. This is an amazing experience for a person from Iowa! I hope to return someday and spend an entire day here.

“A Hard Climb”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 November 2013

We visited in September on a cloudy day which was good as it was a steep and difficult climb which made you warm enough without the sun too! However well worth a visit plus they have an amazing pasty shop! Huge and delicious. Three cheers for Marazion, lovely place. Also nice refreshments at St Michael's Mount. Would recommend a visit definitely but wear good footwear if climbing the Mount. National Trust property. At the top, interesting bits and bobs to look at.
