always enjoy coming here. if you time it right and come at low tide and don't stay too long you can walk both ways! Boat trip is lovely though. Café is lovely as are all the NT ones and toilets always clean. Friendly staff and great food. We sat outside with a fantastic sea view, it was fab.

Walked up to the top to walk round the castle, very steep & cobbled but well worth it. (tip don't wear heels ladies, we saw several people struggling). The gardens are absolutely beautiful and so well cared for. We will be back!

Having stayed at a hotel in Marazion for 3 nights we thought that it would be a shame not to visit St. Micheal's Mount. Since the tide was not low enough to walk there, we took a boat (1£ per person one way). However, if you can arrange it, I would recommend taking the causeway. It's not long and it must be special to walk where some hours earlier or later there is only water. The "island" itself very impressive, the gardens, despite not being fantastic, are very nice, there are not too many people and the view across the bay is lovely. You can either visit just the gardens or the house or both; we have only seen the gardens and were happy with it. Really impressive was also to see how the tide changes in only one or two hours!

This is a fantastic attraction to visit if you holiday down in Cornwall. The house on the mount is very interesting to look round, the gardens are beautiful beyond all recognition and the view is magnificent (you can see The Lizards's Head from the top of the mount). Only downside is probably the walk up the mount - it is rocky in places, but the whole thing is worth it. As for getting there, you can either walk across (when the tide's out) or boat it across (when the tide's in). Great day out for the whole family - one in a lifetime experience you do not want to miss out on :)
