Description: Food served throughout the day Eating at the Godolphin Arms is a relaxed and informal affair and we offer an all-day menu to be enjoyed whatever the occasion or mood. Our food philosophy is simple; we want to provide freshly cooked food that tastes delicious, is beautifully presented and showcases the quality and seasonality of local Cornish produce. From hearty Cornish breakfasts to relaxed lunches and intimate dinners, our menu is inspired by living and working by the sea and produce grown and farmed locally. Fresh daily bakes of the most delicious desserts and cakes are also offered up, to be enjoyed alongside the perfect cappuccino or latte. Where to eat? Lots of natural, light bathed and restful spaces - all with far-reaching views out over Mount's Bay and St Michael's Mount. Sit in the glass and zinc extension, with doors that open out for al fresco dining during the summer months. Celebrate with family or friends around the intimate Captain's Table that seats 9. On the lower deck, walk straight in off the beach to the colourful and chilled-out beach bar and dining area. Outside, the beach terrace remains a place to linger, absorb the astonishing views and simply watch the world go by.

My wife and friends ate here on two occasions on our recent holiday.
The view over Mounts Bay was fantastic.
The food was really, really good.
The service was moderate - attention to detail a little lacking.
Recently refurbished in a Scandinavian, minimalist style, with questionable modern 'art'.

But the noise!
There are absolutely no soft furnishings to absorb sound, and so we could hardly hear each other speak. Raised voices were necessary, and it would seem that everyone else felt the same way.
We had hoped for a quiet evening with friends, but it was more like a school canteen.

Excellent food, spoiled by the surroundings.

Took a chance with this restaurant. Food very well presented - chicken escallopini, sauté potatoes, tomato/rocket/red onion salad - and tasty. Main reason for choosing here was undoubtedly the spectacular view of St Michael's Mount. We were able to sit outside and the combination of a sunny day, location and good food is hard to beat. Reasonably priced food. Only problem we had was a considerable delay in getting our drinks but the waitress had provided a carafe of iced water whilst we waited - this happens without asking for it - a rare thing these days in the drive to sell expensive mineral water! Highly recommended.

We have visited the restaurant twice so far this week, The first time we sat inside and the waitresses were fairly attentive and most importantly the food was very good. We probably made the mistake of going twice, I suppose we could only be disappointed after the first visit. We decided to sit outside on the wooden benches and this was a mistake. We waited for 30 minutes without anyone even taking a drinks order and decided to leave.

Summary, good food, great views, poor service and attitude particularly outside.

We checked trip advisor first as we wanted to be sure if a good experience and it did not disappoint. The service was smiley, attentive and just right, the food was good, they were very kid friendly and the view was amazing. All in all a great evening thank you to a well trained team and a well oiled machine you have cracked what many fail to deliver.

Visited here for lunch and dinner and enjoyed both. The staff were friendly and tried hard to please with where they sat us. The view of St Michaels Mount and the beach is fabulous. The menu is a little short but has something for everyone. The food is yummy and well presented. The restaurant is decorated well and is very clean. Overall we loved sitting having lunch/ dinner looking out of the window and if we visit this part of Cornwall again, will definitely return! Hopefully when it's not so windy so we can sit outside!
