“Really good brownie!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 August 2012

After a walk up all those steps to the castle it was lovely to sit down with a cuppa and a really good brownie before walking back across the causeway. Lots of seats and a small outside seating area. Good value with tea £1.50 most expensive coffee £2.25 cream tea £4.95. Prices correct on 30 Aug 12. Cannot comment on other food though price wise nothing seemed a rip off.

We had two cream teas and oh my lord they were delightful, we thought that they were a little pricey until they arrived.

Light lunch of mackerel pate well presented and tasty. Just what we needed after a tour of the Mount and the gardens

“Limited places to choose to eat”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 April 2012

For a N.T member who if they can eats in the cafe / restaurants when we visit locations 'we' were very disappointed. The quality of the food was delicious and quite varied for the outlet. Service was dreadful but we felt this was a behind the scenes issue and not the customer face to face or the members of staff that served us. You could feel they were embarrassed. For a location that offers limited eating options more should be expected from here. Places get busy but either management or kitchen should be able to cope! Rating lowered for comments not food quality

“Unique setting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 June 2011

If, like me, you've never seen one before, I guess this is what a sail loft looks like: light and airy with exposed stone walls and beautifully presented exposed wooden beams and roof. What is even more special about this place, though, is it's location on St Michael's Mount, overlooking the harbour. For that, it is unbeatable.
To be honest, I'd call it a smart cafe rather than a restaurant. That having been said, I cannot fault it.
As with everything on St Michael's Mount, whether it's open or not can be something of a lottery, so probably worth telephoning to check before venturing across the causeway.

WiFi: No :(
Baby change: Yes :)
Sticky tables: No (just) :)
