“Great location, reasonable food, poor service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2014

This Cafe has a great location (sit on the top floor for some amazing views of St Michael's Mount). The food is OK, though they need a more generous supply of better jam for their cream teas. The service, however, was chaotic, with a waitress expressing complete bafflement at several items mentioned on the menu, and there was no clarity at all about how to pay, leaving the French couple ahead of us completely baffled. (For those wondering: pay as you go, and make a note of your table number as they rely completely on you knowing that.)

“Great view, good food, luke warm service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 July 2014

We had a wonderful view of St Michael's Mount from our table and the cream tea was splendid with just-baked scones and generous portions of jam and clotted cream.
However, we waited ages for service and it was not a very friendly reception. True, they were quite busy, but compared with the warmth of the welcome in other places we visited in Cornwall this was not exactly over-whelming.
Nice décor and great location. Wonderful cream tea. Service could be better.

“Very nice little cafe”

Food was what it said on the tin. Fresh crab sandwiches delivered promptly. Nothing fancy but it was good.

“Food OK - as long as you have very full pockets!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 July 2014

I was shocked - food was good BUT when you are looking at over a fiver for a bacon butty (which you can get in Wetherspoons for half as much AND you get a free coffee!) of almost a TENNER for a crab butty... we stopped at a coffee and a piece of cake(still needed a mortgage!)... my suggestion look around the food is good BUT it comes with a hefty price tag!
