“Relaxing break!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 April 2013

We have stayed here before and always found the hotel staff friendly and helpful although it was a while ago so his was a re visit!!!

We went down at very short notice with our two dogs and stayed in room 8. The interior of the hotel or at least the bedrooms have been re decorated and are very pleasant light and airy.
There is planning permission in for the exterior so watch this space.
The food is good pub grub and if the weather is pleasant you can sit on the terrace with a nice chilled bottle of wine or Cornish lager and enjoy the spectacular view to St Michaels Mount.

This hotel makes you want to forget London and all tht goes with it and spend time enjoying the beautiful countryside of Cornwall especially Marazion,Prussia Cove and Pothleven - great fish and chips in the latter. Not good for the waistline!!

This is really worth a visit to blow the blues away in lovely surroundings with friendly staff and if you want to take your dogs all the better.

The hotel gets very booked up so if you want to visit make sure you book well in advance.

Room Tip: room 8 is great but 5 has a balcony which looks out over Mounts Bay and is worth the extra if the w...

Stayed at the Godolphin Arms for my birthday during March 2013 and would definitely go back. The hotel gave me a card and a gift for my birthday!

The Room
Was amazing! Modern, fresh decor. Huge private balcony looking straight out to St Michael's Mount. Perfect to get away from the crowds in the summer and enjoy a drink from your in room fridge, stocked on request, at bar prices!

The Bar
There are two bars. One upstairs and one downstairs which is where they occasionally occassionally have live music. I'll be honest, compared to the rest of the hotel its very shabby. But the bar upstairs is nice for an evening drink.

Little tip - take your nightcap up to your room and drink it on the balcony. I've never seen so many stars! Beautiful!

Restaurant
We ate here two nights and weren't disappointed. Try the fresh fish platter for starters, its amazing! My Husband had had pre-ordered a birthday cake from the hotel, it was delicious and quite large and quite cheap at only £14!

Breakfast was lovely, the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon is a must! All whilst being sat at a table with a gorgeous view!

Service
I was blown away by how accommodating and friendly they all were. The last night of our stay there was a bit of a problem with the hotel electrics which resulted in no hot water for the last evening and following morning. Staff went out of their way to keep us updated on the problem, complimentary drink and the final nights charge taken off the bill without a quarrel.

If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel on a beautiful beach in Cornwall with great amenities and service then choose the Godolphin. Do it quick though because they are closing for a hefty refurb in November 2013.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a balcony - well worth it.

We stayed in room 8 which is over looking the town rather than the Mount. The room was much nicer than we expected, the bathroom was really modern and the room nicely decorated. Food was lovely and the staff very friendly. We took our 6 month puppy who was loved by everyone. The hotel is very welcoming to dogs making sure they have bowl of iced water when they are in the bar and free dog biscuits!

We have just returned from another fantastic stay at The Godolphin Arms. We stayed in room 10 and the views are spectacular. The room is large with a kingsize bed and lovely shower room. Large telly on the wall and excellent tea/coffee making facilities. We ate wonderful breakfasts which are included in the tariff and a lovely meal with a spectacular view of St Michaels Mount. Sitting on the terrace with a drink and watching the sunset over the mount is perfect. Thanks to all the team there, as always service is warm and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is done with a smile. Looking forward to our next stay.

The Godolphin and its staff never fail to disappoint! My husband and I have been frequent visitors for the past eight years or more, and always leave with a heavy heart, planning our next visit. Geoffrey is part of the fabric of the building, and even accompanied us and our friends on a walk over to the castle, which we have been promising to do for many years.
This lovely informal hotel that looks out over Mounts Bay and St Michaels Mount, must surely boast one of the most idillic settings in the country. Can't wait foe our next stay.

Room Tip: All the rooms have been refurbished to a high standard, the bathrooms are a triumph. The hotel is d...

The Godolphin Arms is a wonderful place to stay; friendly staff, clean rooms, great bar food, great location and amazing views of the Mount and the coastline of St Ives, Penzance etc. We stayed in room 11 which is a family room incorporating 2 bedrooms (sleeping 4 people) and 2 bathrooms. Kids are catered for with bunk beds, toys and beach equipment. For the adults, there is a coffee machine, kettle, assorted tea and coffees and hot chocolate and biscuits, milk and fruit shoots. There is an alarm clock, hair dryer, toiletries and local information plus free wifi. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and cannot do enough for you. The breakfast was a choice off cooked foods from the menu, cereals, fruits, croissants, scones plus hot and cold drinks. The staff always remembered where we stayed in the hotel and chatted about local events and asked how we were enjoying our stay. The rooms were serviced each day with the beds made, bathrooms cleaned and supplies replenished. We simply cannot praise this hotel and their staff enough. Our stay was wonderful and will miss the amazing view of the.beach, sea and St Michaels Mount from our.bed. we will be back very soon! Rhoda & Wayne

It overlooks the beautiful St Michael’s Mount, with one of the most magnificent beachside views in the country.Following a major renovation inside and out, the Godolphin Arms has recently reopened its doors unveiling a warm and welcoming beachside inn – a place to eat, drink or stay and explore the unspoilt beauty of the South West coast. Our stunning coastal location has inspired the design, bringing the natural beauty of the beach outside in with relaxed, mellow living spaces and a stunning centrepiece - a two storey light-bathed glass and zinc dining area opening out onto a balcony upstairs and a terrace downstairs. Walk straight in off the beach to our colourful and chilled-out beach bar, linger on the beachside terrace with friends or relax and unwind on the comfy sofas and chairs by the woodburner.
