We only had one night at the hotel, but would have loved to stay for longer. We were impressed by the helpfulness of staff, arranging our rooms next to each other (rooms 5 & 6) with a shared balcony and view of St Michael's Mount.
The hotel had been newly refurbished and the rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a good sized bathroom and lovely complimentary White Company toiletries. The balcony had good quality chairs and benches.
As we watched the sun go down we ordered a couple of sea food platters from the restaurant, which were delicious and brought to us by friendly, courteous and helpful staff.
Breakfast in the restaurant overlooking the Mount and bay was very good - a full Cornish, with bacon, sausage, egg, mushroom, tomato and fried potato. One small grumble: the pot of tea went cold very quickly. Excellent coffee though!
The hotel was very tastefully appointed, with abstract and contemporary art on the walls.
Would definitely stay again!More
