Both Meal and service were excellent. Good atmosphere. Was at night so we could not see too well outside, nor did we go into the bar

A very nice meal with friends - excellent service.
Very relaxing - modern interior but very old structure.

“great atmosphere, service and food.”
Reviewed 11 March 2014

I ate here with 4 friends on the travel zoo taster menu deal. The food was lovely, with lots of different flavours. The service was unobtrusive but our waitress have us,a full description of each dish. The milking parlour has been sympathetically refurbished and feels like a special place to dine. I would definitely recommend it and will be going back.

“Taster menu will be going back”
Reviewed 27 February 2014 via mobile

We visited this restaurant on a travelzoo voucher for a taster menu, we found the food to be of an extremely high quality and the waitress was very pleasant and professional, she was serving on her own and coped very well, the taster menu although not large portions we left feeling well fed. This was a much better experience than a recent travelzoo voucher visit to another restaurant locally. We are certainly going to dine her again

“Excellent from start to finish!”
Reviewed 20 February 2014

Forget the earlier poor reviews - this place is now up there with the best. I can only agree with the recent reviews in giving The Milking Parlour ten out of ten. We also had purchased the 5 course tasting menu. Of course the portions are small but by the time it came to coffee I certainly left that I had eaten a decent sized meal but with a greater variety of tastes. The food is truly excellent and the service is friendly, prompt and attentive. The room has a lovely atmosphere with the open fire and great music placing - blues on the occasions. We sat and enjoyed a drink in the small bar before being shown to our table by the delightful host and waitress. All in all a great evening.
We are fairly local - about ten miles away - and will definitely be going back. I would imagine that if you are coming from further away this would be a great place to stay to explore Bath and Bradford on Avon
