I am not going to apologise for writing again about this restaurant, but after attending the regional dinner and wine tasting last night based on Tuscany and in particular Chianti wines, words of praise need to be recorded. FIRST COURSE: fresh tomato with layers of Tuscan bread all cooked in vegetables with added basil garlic etc. SECOND COURSE: Tagliatelle cooked with sausages and beans ragu. THIRD COURSE: Wild boar marinade with mushrooms lemon and Chianti, with polenta: FOURTH COURSE Pheasant breast cooked with pancetta, prunes, herbs. FIFTH COURSE: Semolino and chocolate tart, followed by Cartucci for you to dip into the 17% 1996 Vino Santo and finally coffee. All this food accompanied by five different matched Chiantis of varying ages with a full explanation of the food from Giacomo Falcetta the chef /owner and Mario Penge the wine expert, all for less than £50 per head!. A three hour outstanding gastronomic experience. SUPERB.
