Stayed here for one night when one a business trip to South Wales and I was very pleased I did.

The room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, tasteful modern decoration and well equipped.
The hotel has been a Best Western for a year and was refurbished in 2013 prior to opening and it really is very nicely done. All areas are fresh and modern and very clean. The lobby area has a well stocked bar and they serve Starbucks Coffee. The staff were very smart, friendly and helpful at all times, with a seamless check-in and check-out.

My only gripe about this hotel was the fact that the internet connection in my room (No. 114) was very slow and also kept dropping out, so if there's one area for management to improve on (and there is only one area) then it is the WiFi connectivity for your guests as this is very frustrating especially when on business and needing to have a reliable internet connection to work from your room of an evening.

I paid £55 for my room which I think was good value and then I paid £6 for the breakfast. This was buffet style and consisted of a selection of cereals (Alpen, Weetabix, Corn Flakes, Frosties, Bran Flakes), toast (white or brown bread), Danish pastries, scrambled eggs, bacon, baked beans, fruit, yoghurts, fruit juices, milk, hot drinks and facilities to freshly boil your own egg. All well presented and fresh and well worth £6.00

The hotel is located off of a roundabout on the A4042 and shares it's location with a Shell garage, a KFC and a McDonalds. There is a 'Harvester' restaurant located just across the other side of the roundabout, however I HIGHLY recommend a visit to the "India Garden" Indian Restaurant just 2 miles up the A472 from the hotel if you are looking for some dinner as it was recommended by the hotel and it really was very good food... See reviews for it here on Trip Advisor (including my own).

Room Tip: I was in Room 114 and I was very pleased.

I stayed here the night of the 28th June, the Room was very comfortable, and clean. The Toilet Door could have done with having a lock on it and we assumed between the two of us that only one towel was provided, it was until i checked the room information booklet that another towel is hidden in a bedroom drawer.

The staff were friendly and helpful

The only down side was the breakfast, ok you get two options one is continental with standard fayre and the other English Breakfast is poor, because you just get bacon which was so overdone it was not edible, very watery scrambled eggs and baked beans. very average.
No sausage, no fried eggs nor hash browns, but you have a option to do yourself a boiled egg if required!

Room Tip: we were not far from the motorway and we slept very well. Our Room looked over the Car park so i b...

Very pleasant motel. Staff are very helpful. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well equiped. Slight road noise if you are at the back of the hotel. Breakfast has very good range of items and a range of drinks are available from the bar at reasonable prices. Offers very good value overall and is an excellent base to explore south east Wales.

Room Tip: Try to get a room at the front as the back rooms face the dual carriageway.

Our second visit this year, we found the hotel to be very clean, well run and the staff very helpful. The room was well appointed, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was superb after a long, hot drive. The only small thing that could be done to improve the experience was to supply a disposable shower cap among the other toiletries...
PS. Excellent breakfast!

Room Tip: Best to ask for a room away from the main road.
