Great place to stay in the Valnontey area of the Cogne Valley. The friendly owners are clearly popular with the many guests and are eager to ensure your stay is a pleasant one. The meals are served in the friendly dinning room and serve by great staff. Good food & lots to eat is the order of the day. Great selection of quality wines, yet you'll find the house red or white is excellant & inexpensive.
Rooms warm & comfortable, with hot, powerful showers, just what you need after a hard day in the mountains. Very popular with climbers, walkers & skiers the place is an ideal base in the mountains.

Room Tip: From what I've seen all rooms are warm & comfortable & offer a good nights sleep.

Lovely hotel with a wonderful welcome & always happy to help. Location is the best factor. You can start your walk straight away into the mountains. Had a family room with bunk beds, which worked very well and was reasonably priced. Quick to drive into town as well. Play things for the kids and a playground as well.

A true family run hotel, with simple but comfortable accommodation , excellent value and delightful family and staff to look after you at dinner . The restaurant was busy but the service quick , friendly and the food delicious.
As it was September we did not have large groups of early walkers disturbing us , as others have reported.
There was a secure garage and ample parking outside in the public park.

We stayed at La Barme in the busy month of july. The hotel is very popular, probably because it is cheap compared to other hotels. As there are loads of people staying there and a lot of them have small children, this hotel is loud, chaotic and the owners do not have time for much attention for their guests. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The food is not that good, breakfast even dissappointing with old and dry bread beiing served every morning.
If the price is the most important, then this hotel is OK. If you prefer character, good food and some peace and quiet, then there are lots of better hotels in the area.

We just spent 1 wonderful week. Every morning watching thrugh the window the Gran Paradiso you feel part of something special.
Clean, good food, warm atmosphere. I forgot my car for a week. Free bus to bring you to Cogne , or waterfall in Lillaz.
Mountainbikes available...really nice
