Just had a father and son Summer weekend of skiing and hiking, staying at Les Rochers. We loved it. Barbara and Simon are perfect hosts, very friendly and welcoming. The new Spa area is stunning for a hotel this size, and is great for an early evening unwind before Dinner....which was superb each evening: an antipasti buffet, soup, choice of pasta, choice of meat dish and choice of deserts. Also flexible for the pasta course to do a plain tomato sauce for my son each evening. Barbara selected some very good local wine for me, and very reasonable prices. Breakfast is a buffet style, with croissants, breads, yoghurt, ham, cheese and eggs..all fresh and plenty to choose from.
Simon took us up to the roof one evening to use his telescope to take a look at Saturn's rings, and a few other bits and pieces...a very nice little extra!
We had a twin room, not huge, but also not tiny, simply furnished in ski lodge style, Bathroom was modern and well equipped (very good shower)..although the one negative comment I would have is the towels, they were a bit thin and scratchy.
We had a balcony, with great views up and down the valley. The bar is a good place to relax, sofas and armchairs and a pool table.
We are going back with the family for a ski holiday over New Year!
Location wise it is about 2 mins drive from the Valtournenche lift and about 10 mins from Cervinia lifts.
Really looking forward to returning.
