Isola di Eea

We chose to stay at this amazing BB after reading Tripadvisor's reviews. We got exactly what we were hoping for:
A family run bed and breakfast in an amazing location, unknown, hidden, exclusive.
Furnishment of the house was simply amazing, it was like living in an adventerous world traveler's home.
The room we stayed in was simply furnished , very well cleaned with everything you need: air conditioning, tv, fridge and wifi connection on our balcony.
I spent a lot of time reading and just sitting on a small balcony in front of the sea ... really wonderful memories.
We hoped a dinner service was available, in order to not leave this paradise of tranquility.
Unfortunately we had to reach San Felice Circeo town, interrupting our full relaxing process.
The sea is fantastic! On rocky spots, with umbrellas and mattresses, easy access, great snorkeling.
We really missed having a bar service down by the sea, that was not good. When we were thirsty we had to go up to our room to get one from the fridge, because there is no one down by the rocks. Fortunately it was a short walk. Remember, always bring down water and fruit!
Another warning, the villa is far from everywhere which is great but you should have a car.
On weekends we were invited to the family brunches, and we really enjoyed this huge buffet, with a lot of different dishes, Italian and Korean:
home made bread and pizza, lasagni, fettucini, melanzane alla parmigiana, but also spicy pork ribs, rice noodles, kind of Korean sashimi, home made cakes and tiramisu' !!! Unbelievable. I would go back only for that brunch!! And it was free, they just invited us!
We really experienced something unexpected and new, I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone!!!

Room Tip: There is one master suite overlooking the sea, big enough to bring the family!

Everything about Isola di Eea is an exceptional and a delightful surprise. Approaching the house you do start to wonder just what you’ve booked as the tarmac disappears and you drive down a gravel road into the national park. When you arrive and walk through the upper patio and see the uninterrupted ocean view you quickly know you are somewhere special.
Your hosts, Massimo and his parents clearly care about their guests having a relaxing and pleasant holiday. They are not intrusive but are always happy to answer any queries you may have and the service is attentive and efficient.
Massimo’s mother prepares the most wonderful buffet lunch which instantly became the main focus of our day! Home cooked Italian and Korean dishes sat happily beside each other. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and tastefully furnished.
Overall we did not find anything we did not like about Isola and would definitely return.

We had part of our honeymoon here and loved it! It was just perfect for us - lovely and quiet, very friendly, hospitable owners, relaxed, amazing food, beautiful location. It was a unique experience and one we very much hope to experience again. Car hire is essential though to get there but it was an easy 2hr drive from Rome airport.

Isola di Eea is absolutely paradise on earth. I travel extensively and can say that this is one of the most romantic places I have been to. What makes it so incredibly special? Apart from being the meeting point of the legendary Ulysses and Circe thousands of years ago, it is surrounded by extreme beauty....the incredible ocean views framed by magnificent bougainvilleas.....the irresistible natural pools of the ocean (not to be missed)......the sound of waves crashing at your feet.......

The property is quaint, only a few rooms, secluded and very private - the perfect getaway. It has a lovely rustic feel to it and simply blends in with its beautiful surroundings. Stayed at the Bougainvillea room which had a wonderful terrace overlooking the water. The breakfast on the terrace is lovely and the communal brunch at 1pm is not to be missed and hosted by the owners (had the pleasure of meeting Gianfranco and his son Choul Soo). Choul Soo was incredibly helpful and responsive to our requests. He made the stay even more special. The Molu room is very close to the water and away from the main property so the most private...although we did not stay there, it had an incredible terrace and the proximity to the water was very enticing.

You will not want to leave the property especially if you enjoy snorkeling, swimming, cave exploration and sunning....it really is the perfect spot to park yourself and just soak it all in. The town Circeo is simply charming (cobblestone streets), really a walk back in time and the surrounding area is quite beautiful so it is worth pulling yourself away to see some of it if you can.

At night, there are millions of stars out at Isola di Eea! Def go with someone you are crazy about. The serene energy at this special place is intoxicating. Will be back very soon.

My husband and I spent two nights at isola di eea to celebrate his birthday. Came back last night and am almost crying. One of the most beautiful and romantic places we've been to. The location is paradise, with the waves breaking against the rocks and sometimes over your head and a garden you would never dream of.

Because of heave traffic, we arrived late on Friday night, but were served a small light dinner although wehadn't booked for supper. Guests sit around a large round table with the owners, which makes you feel at home with friends, and gives you a chance to both meet others and listen to the wonderful stories gianfranco and his wife have to tell.

The "bed and brunch" formula is great. When you wake up in the morning, there is a very light breakfast (sunday we got home-made pastry!!) so you can go down to the water with not much problem. More than a brunch, at one you are served lunch, The food was absolutely exquisite.

We booked the Rosmarino room, which was very, very simple: a room, a bed, a bathroom with shower. Probably not as wonderful as the other rooms, and certainly not suitable for those who want any type of amenities (TV, phone, etc.). But with such a garden and the great sea, who needs to stay in the room for long anyhow?

We were unlucky with the sea, which was incredibly angry this weekend. On Saturda, it was impossible to go anywhere the rocks, and the natural pools were hidden under the water. So the owners promptly offered to prepare a tempura "aperitivo" on the house to make the afternoon a bit more jolly. My husband and I decided to go down to the sandy beach instead (15 min drive), but the other guests said the tempura was magnificent.

It was our first time at the circeo, so we felt we needed to go see the town a little bit. Not worth it. Learned my lesson: now that I've seen it and paid my dues, next time, I'm not leaving the island at all!

Given the difficulty in moving around, the lack of things "to do" and the danger of the rocks, NOT recommended for children or people with mobility problems.
