We booked very last minute (on the day in fact), but were very pleased with our choice upon arrival. Norm and Rosie are very welcoming. We stayed in one of the top floor attic rooms with some beautiful exposed wooden beams. The room was clean, warm and full of character. Breakfast was excellent, and included many locally source products. We will consider returning again very soon!

Room Tip: Ask for the attic rooms!

Beautiful attic room very clean with lovely extra touches and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Breakfast was nice except the homemade bread when toasted it was as hard as rock. I would visit again if you could have normal bread.

My friend and I were walking the Shropshire Way. We arrived at the OBG wet and exhausted. A warm welcome and lots of helpful advice as well as a brilliant shower were very restorative.
Comfortable, clean room with nice extra touches.

Had stayed at Old Brick last year, and have just stayed there for another three nights as we liked it so much. When we told Rosie it was our 4th wedding anniversary the next day, she got in smoked salmon, so we could have it with scrambled eggs and bagels for our anniversary breakfast - much appreciated and very much enjoyed! Rosie and Norm were very friendly and informative about the area and things to do. Thanks both, we will definitely stay with you again if we're in Bishop's Castle. Samatee and Nathan Price.

Room Tip: Have only stayed in 'Oak' room. It is quite large, is quiet, and has a huge, comfortable be...

Friends and I spent a night in the OBG, have had a day walking in the local hills. We stayed the night so that we could take advantage of the excellent pubs in the town (most notably the Three Tuns and the Six Bells). The Guesthouse is the ideal place for walkers and is fully geared up to accommodate them in comfort. Spacious rooms, good hot showers, great breakfast and free WiFi (very handy, given that mobile phone signals are problematic unless you are with Orange). I always think that attention to detail is a good measure of the quality of a hotel and OBG has plenty of examples, from home made bread and marmalade to lots of information about local walks and events. Great service from friendly owners. Off road parking at the rear.

We used Bishops Castle as our base for doing walks around Shropshire. We really enjoyed the b&b and our room was very nice. We brought our dog and this was not a problem. It is nice to be able to bring him along and I am not sure the other hotels in the area allow dogs. Breakfast was lovely each morning and set us up well for the day. Also, the location is good. Everything in Bishops Castle is walking distance and there are several pubs only steps away from the b&b.

We stayed for two nights just before Easter. It was a part of the world we were unfamiliar with but thoroughly enjoyed. The town is small but with everything you'd need. The Guest house was lovely; a gorgeous old building with oak beams and plenty of character. Rosie and Norm were very welcoming and did everything to ensure our stay was comfortable. The room was big, as was the fabulous bed and shower.
Breakfast was faultless, the homemade bread being a standout.
Would recommend to anyone who enjoys uncrowded countryside, good food and beer (the two brewery taps are great) and a cosy, warm B and B.
