If you have your own vehicle and a GPS then this is the place to sTy if you want to save money. Really best value for money with wi-fi, sat tv and a great breakfast. Fantastic pub also down the road. Nothing to see in the village so arrive late and leave early.

stayed at the tudor lodge with 4 friends, the hotel was superb and hosts were the best ive met. stayed here because of the price the location as we were on a trip to watch a football game at middlesbrough as the ground is only 15 minutes via the train. the town of redcar is great especially the nightlife and the locals so friendly. after our night out we woke to the best breakfast ive had in a hotel, the staff were second to none, nothing was too much trouble and so friendly we had a really good time and will certainly stay here next time were in redcar. FANTASTIC thanks again.

Stayed here over the bank holiday weekend for a family gathering in the area. Found the place easily, and checked in quickly with no hassles. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and shown us to a nice sized room ample for our needs. No problems with cleanliness here, and the great English breakfast was just what was needed after a night out on the town.

The other guests all seemed pleasant enough too, as did the lady doing the breakfast, who happily catered for the vegatarian in our group. Redcar itself what you'd expect of a seaside town that's going through regeneration - a bit like Blackpool or Margate, but with some heavy industry visable in the distant background. For those coming from the south, you'll be amazed at the prices here, £4 for a sunday Roast, £2 a pint average...

I would recommend the guest house to a range of people who are looking for a nice, good value break away somewhere different, but do bear in mind that you pay for what you get and £18 per night B&B isn't going to get you the Ritz, so you need to be realistic with your expectations.
