Called here for an afternoon visit with our young grandson, who just loved the play area in the picnic grounds, so we ended up spending quite a lot of our visit time here. The Museum house and building is very nice, although we didn't get to spend a lot of time here. We then called for an ice cream in Lillies Café which is part of the house and grounds, what a great amount of ice cream and sauce for only £1.20, here there were even more play things for our young one to be entertained with in the outside seating area. There is an Owl centre on site, but unfortunately, due to flash flooding this attraction was closed. Will definitely come back to this attraction when we are in the Redcar area, and apart from the Owl centre, It's FREE, so please leave a donation in the collection box after your visit, you will get your money's worth I'm sure of that.

Kirkleatham Hall is a beautiful building and well worth a visit. We took part in an historical display with cannon.

Set in the calm, peaceful surroundings of Kirkleatham village, just on the boundary of Redcar this lovely little attraction exhibits lots of stuff about the history of the area plus a wealth of interesting, quality art from local artists. My wife classes me as a heathen when it comes to art but even I found it interesting.

Nice museum with a plenty of parking and playing ground area for children. Admission is free. Have visited a couple of times and will come back in the future. Historical museum exhibitions are very interesting.

Visited recently with family who were up north for a few days and we wanted somewhere to while away a quiet afternoon.
Was truly amazed with the Saxon Princess exhibition and especially as this was all discovered locally. A great little museum with some fascinating exhibitions and a lovely little gift shop. Also the museum is free!
