My mum and I stayed here for 2 nights recently as I had to come a long way for a hospital procedure, we had the loft room which was lovely. Although there's a lot of stairs, once you're up there it is a lovely room with a lovely cute bathroom. Everywhere was spotless and the bed sheets were lovely and fresh as were the towels. I wasn't well after my procedure and they lady was very sweet and instead of making us check out at 11am she let me stay in bed and check out later which was very much appreciated. I would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you for a lovely stay x

Well located within easy walking distance of the town centre, clean, cheap and cheerful.
Good pub and fish n chip shop around the corner. Overall good value for money budget accommodation, if you want more then pay more.

My boyfriend booked us in to The Lakeside, after trying many others who were all full, for a 1 night stay. I am really glad that they were all fully booked and we found this beautiful B&B. The management were friendly, the hotel was spotless and the views were breathtaking, overlooking the boating lake, the sea and the industrial estate. When we arrived we were greeted by the very friendly hostess who booked us in and showed us to our room. The room was very spacious, with a double 4 poster bed and single bed, plenty of storage space for clothing, for guests who were staying more than 1 night and a quaint en-suite consisting of clean shower cubicle, toilet and sink. A very family friendly room.

Parking was available right outside of the hotel, and a permit was available for a £10 deposit which was refunded at check out.

We didn't sample breakfast on this occasion, so I cannot comment on that, but when we return to The Lakeside we will definitely be trying it out.
