Firstly this resort in my opinion is by far the best in the Anakao / Ifaty area. The trade off is that by Madagascar standards, it is very expensive. But sometimes you get what you pay for. The first hurdle is payment, that is the hotel does not accept credit cards. Our deposit had to be paid into the hotels bank account in Madagascar by wire. We didn't need to do this, as my brother paid it locally for us. This might have been a pain, if we had to do so. The final bill has to be settled in Euro or local currency. All this means you have to have a big wad of cash with you when you stay. Transfer to resort is by speed boat from Tulear, again extra. However the location, accommodation, food and staff are all first class and it does deserve 5 stars. The resort is isolated, on it's own around the head land, which pretty much means that you are staying full board. This would on average for bungalow and food per couple cost 210 Euros per day. A lot depends on how much alochol you drink at resort prices. If you are feeling brave, you might want to walk into the nearby village and visit the beer hut.
