Have visited a few times and thoroughly enjoy the animals and birds, always something new seems to be there.
An added bonus is the cafe, the meals are always freshly made for you and the portions are overly generous, plus the price is amazingly low. The staff are pleasant and helpful without being intrusive.
I highly recommend this Cafe when you visit the Sanctuary.

This is right outside golden sands caravan park. There are quite a few rescued seals and you can read their stories, plus they have a lovely walk round area where you can see owls, birds of prey, stork, monkeys, Lynx, reptiles, meerkats, there is a lovely seated area that you can enjoy a picnic or there is a café that sells sandwiches, chips and a few meals.

Cost us £6 per person to get in. We took our 23 month old son as well who was free.

Staff seemed happy enough and the place was fairly clean and we'll kept. All animals looked comfortable and had a fair amount of space to live in. Some seals were in special smaller areas which we were told contained salts to help the seals regain strength.

The pathways are a little narrow but we managed with a push chair ok.

There is a cafe which sells food but we didn't eat from there and drinks are pricey. £1.20 for a bottle of 500ml water.

The visit took us around 2 hours but we did stop for a snack. There are not many areas to sit down and shade was in short supply (was a very hot day). Information on the animals was good and well presented. I would recommend this place to visit but it isn't the biggest place so have something lined up for the other half of your day.

Visited with partner and his father ... It was nice to see the work the sanctuary does with rescued animals. It was a nice quiet environment (we visited off-peak)
