I hear lot of people travelling and getting accommodation on AirBnB, some people expect a hotel or a place where they will be served by the host. I didn't have that expectation because you are actually staying in some ones house and I'm pretty sure they all want us to to have a great experience and feel very comfortable. My experience with Christine was fantastic, the location of the house is very close to most places. I walked from the ferry wharf, which was an amazing walk, safe and beautiful to start to know where you will be staying for the next few days. It's a quiet place to sleep with a lot of green around with lovely birds in the morning. The house has all you need to cook with enough room and places to eat in or outside (backyard) where is a little table as well. The room has a big comfortable bed and a lot of room for your clothes. The toilet was always clean and in great condition. The shower has great hot water pressure that is very important for me. Christine is a lovely woman that you can talk to about anything. She will recommend places that have good coffee or food. She is very relaxed and didn't have any problem with me getting home at any time in the night or drinking my beers during the day etc.. Your are staying in a self contained flat sharing the backyard with Christine and her lovely dog that is always around, which is nice to see everytime you go in and out of the house. Christine's is a10 minutes walk to the pub right on the beach, 3 minutes to the the beach, 3 minutes to a bottle shop, coffee shop and a little market. Sharing a 4wd for $100 per day inc. petrol with some one will give you lot a freedom to explore the amazing beaches around the island. Charge your camera, get a 6 pack, jump in a 4wd and enjoy the Island.
I had a wonderful time staying at Christine's lovely comfortable apartment. It was close to beautiful beaches and transport, was cool and airy and had a lovely garden. Christine and her puppy Goldie were excellent and generous hostesses. I recommend this AirBnB unreservedly.
