Do check the room and especially the bed before checking in. I did not do it because I had to hurry to get to a booked trip, and regretted it. When coming back to the room late at night, I realized my mattress was like a wooden board. I had never had such a bad bed in any hotel. Even the hard sleeper trains in Vietnam were softer. I had to use the blanket from the second bed and fold it underneath me to be able to sleep. The next day, I asked to get a discount and a new room and all the ones they made me try had terrible beds. 2 friends of mine who were in the same hotel had proper mattresses though, and if you do then the rest of the room is good, rather new and clean, and the price is good value for money. Also, we were woken up one morning at 6am by the dysfunctional fire alarm. So overall, I will not go back. I would personally be ashamed to make a customer pay for sleeping on an almost wooden board.
