“Very Welcoming”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 March 2014

We stayed two nights at this lovely B&B. We arrived tired after a long drive. With very short notice Lisa & Graham put together a delicious platter of asst. meats/cheese/fish/bread/cucumber salad made from the garden for us. We sat on the back deck enjoying the view. Best table in town. That saved us a drive to town. The home is lovely and the property is as well. My husband hiked the very large property with their wonderful son Archie and of course Bertie and Bailey the family dogs. You really feel like part of the family.
Breakfast was the best we had in a 2 1/2 week trip. Cooked breakfast, plus fresh from the garden strawberries/granola/yogurt/toast. AND Lisa's homemade applesauce, made from the apple tree in the garden. Not sure my husband left any for the next guests LOL Lisa and Graham are wonderful hosts!!! I hope to see them again sometime.

Lakeside Lodge near Motueka
In pretty countryside 15mins from main road to Motueka and 35-40 mins from Kaiteriteri to get boats to Abel Tasman. Lovely, friendly family and excellent meals eaten with the family. Accommodation separate from main house. Really enjoyed our stay here.

A luxury lodge in a beautiful setting, with incredibly friendly and welcoming hosts and their family (including two fabulous dogs). Home grown and cooked food for both dinner and breakfast; a spacious, modern, clean and comfortable accommodation. Splendid and the best night of our honeymoon. Thank you!

Room Tip: The garden room is a beautiful quiet private space

Graeme & Lisa were wonderful hosts, we loved this spectacular home, accommodation, grounds and home baking! They were very friendly relaxed and had great knowledge of the local area, we look forward to seeing them again when we eventually move back or on our next recce.
Thanks so much.

Jeannie and I stayed in the Garden Room. What a fine experience:
- Lisa and Graeme are super friendly and helpful
- The Garden Room is off on its own, ground floor, super quiet, well equipped, with plenty of space
- Its view over the lawn, lake, ducks, geese, majestic hills is an absolute delight
- Breakfasts and dinners are yummy.
- For interacting with three delightful kids, go in January
- Their family friend gave us super advise on trout fishing in the adjacent Motueka River
- The lodge is a spacious, log-constructed, with great views and a super library
- There is fast internet with a comfortable set-up in the lodge for working on a rainy day

Enjoy,
Paul and Jeannie Queneau, married 47 yrs, Golden, Colorado

WE had the best time ever -- having kids is always a challenge ... great price ...great location. Our biggest mistake was that we didn't have enough time -- we spent only one night and could have stayed a week!
