“Excellent home made pasta”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

Favorita is owned and operated by Ernan (not shure this is the correct spelling) who prepares the pasta and the sauces himself. His pasta is just outstanding! pretty much anything you order (I've been there several times!) will delight your senses. Worth the wait (it is always full).

My only observation is that the dining area is dark and cold, the experience would be much better with a fireplace and white painted walls.

“Beautiful Surroundings with Good Food”
Reviewed 8 March 2014

This restaurant is really off the beaten path. We found it only because of a friend's recommendation.

The rural property is beautifully landscaped and very charming. The drive is also visually stunning.

The restaurant itself is small and cozy , with lots of wood and brick. The owner is quite attentive. We arrived at a good time..one table was leaving and for a bit we were alone. Towards the end of our meal , several other clients arrived , filling up the small space.

Our pasta was delicious. My husband and I agreed that my plate was the superior one , a fuselli with shrimp and porcini mushrooms. Just the amount of heat and earthiness.

Our panna cotta with wild berries was a highlight. It was creamy and lightly spiced. The coffee was freshly brewed and piping hot.

I would be concerned about arriving at a busy time as attending all the clients and cooking all the food could be overwhelming.

“A happy day on the mountains of São Paulo”
Reviewed 12 August 2013

On our way to Paraty we were so very lucky to see the sign of Villa Favorita - we stoped with the idea of just a break/lunch and instead we had a fantastic italian (!!) meal - So : very friendly/correct reception/service, very good/tasty food, abundant portions , for a very fair price . It is indeed a restaurant to visit. And the location too is someting that deserves a very good note.
