The staff here are what really made our stay. never to rushed or busy to help, free phone calls made to book restaurants, very quick service of rooms and overall....always a smile on their face! most are wanting to improve there English, so without being to pushy, we found we were willing to help in anyway possible. Great Work to all the staff!

We stayed at the Viet Uc for two nights in a double room. It was comfortable with a great view of the river. Prices are high compared to Vietnamese standards but very reasonable compared to western standards. Too bad this hotel doesn't have a pool. That would've made it a complete package.

Breakfast is a buffet type of arrangement and they even have Century eggs!

BTW... the fitness room doesn't exist anymore. They turned it into a meeting room. But you could always do some running along the river banks. Much nicer views over there!

I stayed here for one night. The hotel is new and big. The reception are is nice. My room was spacious and has nice views of the river, however I had no warm water in the shower. I think all rooms have a river view. It's right on the river side along a few other big hotels very close to the centre.
They arranged me to hire a scooter from reception also transport back to HCMC. Hotel was busy with guests which is a good sign.
You can book variety of organised Mekong Delta tours through the reception, however found them very pricy, There is a guy loitering outside the peer who has a small boat and he's finding the tourists and offering his services to them. He took me on a great 3 hour long boat trip along the narrow canals, I was even allowed to navigate his boat which was great.

Room Tip: I think there are only river view rooms in the hotel which is great. I guess if higher you have bett...

We have just spent one night at the Viet Uc hotel and found it very pleasant.

The most important thing to stress is the eager friendliness of the staff on the front desk, in the bar and in the restaurant. From information on bus timetables for travel further into the Delta, through producing a pen when the waiter noticed we needed to mark something in our travel guide to another waiter offering to heat up the coffee if we didn't find it hot enough. There was also the waitress keen to improve her English and taking her serving duties so seriously and the door man who gave much helpful information.

Our room was bright, fresh, spacious and comfortable and, being on a high floor overlooking the river, we had wonderful views of the river craft and the coconut plantation beyond. There are no English language news programmes on the television, but we have found that elsewhere in the Delta, even in a city with far more foreign tourists. The wifi only works in the public areas on the ground floor and, even there, it was a bit sporadic.

We had a good dinner in the restaurant, squid, steamed with ginger and prawns deep fried in coconut batter were the highlights, together with a reasonable bottle of Dalat wine. Breakfast was a little short on fresh fruits, juice or fresh bread, but the Vietnamese offerings were varied and there were good omelettes

The hotel is right beside the main market, which is well worth a visit.

This brand new hotel must have the best river views in Ben Tre. We stayed in a superior river view room with high quality furniture and a super comfortable bed. The bathroom was well fitted with a shower enclosure (unusual in East Asia) and the sound insulation of the rooms was very good. Staff were friendly and the reception staff spoke good English. The included breakfast buffet was of good quality with plenty of choice.

Had an overnite stay in a superior room overlooking the river. The hotel is brand new,and in a great position.Ben Tre is probably the cleanest Vietnamese city I have visited, and in the day and a half we were there saw maybe 4 foreign tourists.
Air con was great, and hotel has fast free wifi and breakfast included. We paid 600.000 dong for a twin room=$27.50 Aud.
Very nice relaxing bar on the ground floor where we sampled the cocktail list, the drinks were 50.000 dong=$2.30 Aud
The bonus was we booked a tour through the front desk. This tour took 5 hours, included a great lunch with standing Elephant Ear fish, prawns, coconut prawns and iced tea. We visited a brick factory, coconut candy factory, travelled in a boat, canoe, and had a great bicycle ride through villages, all flat easy riding. Morning tea was fresh fruits and honey tea with a musical performance by a small local group, great fun.
Cost for the tour including lunch/morning tea and a coconut drink stop was $25 each, bargain.
A nice untouristy part of the Mekong Delta.

Room Tip: Ask for a river view room.

The Viet Uc hotel opened two months ago, so it is brand new and not yet on the map for travelers. We made the reservation through the hotel's own website.

The first thing you notice when you walk into the hotel is that it is probably the fanciest building in Ben Tre. In fact, if the hotel would be in the US/Canada, it would be the equivalent of a Marriott or Sheraton -- huge rooms, king size beds, big flat screen TVs, a really hot shower, room service, mini bar, and a strong AC. In addition there are two bars (one on the roof), a restaurant, and even a small gym.

Back home this would cost more than $150/night. Here, however, it costs $25/night for the "standard room," which is far more than standard for rooms in South East Asia at this price range.

The rate also came with a buffet breakfast which was made up of Vietnamese dishes and omelets made to order.

There are some kinks that need to be worked out, given that this is a new hotel. For example, only the front desk staff speaks English. Also, there were some ants in our room.

Overall, given the price and quality of other hotels in Ben Tre, this is a great find!

Room Tip: Pick a room with a river view. It is stunning.
