“Excellent experience for an excellent price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 August 2014

This is what I call a hidden gem. A beautiful hotel village with a beautiful restaurant. The interior, staff, the menu and the quality are all alligned. Whoever runs this place, he or she knows the trade. The dishes were tasteful, with some special combinations, in good portions. Try it, you will not regret it.

“Innovative dining”

We had a lovely meal at a very upmarket dining experience. The venue is beautiful, the staff were attentive. I'll Borro is not warn and inviting but cold and pretentious..the osteria, was the exception

“Certainly one of the BEST in Tuscany”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 July 2014

Il Borro is an interesting development with a medieval village, a gorgeous private estate owned by one of Italy's most fashionable families, a collection of farmhouses, villas, wine bars and spas. All of it is very nice, but no match for the excellent Osteria del Borro. The setting is quietly elegant, the service absolutely excellent with helpful suggestions and comments about the food and the Il Borro wines. But that is all just the supporting cast to the outstanding food that we were served. Everything from the crispy zucchini blossom offered as a amuse bouche to the breads, the best pan seared foie gras (we live in France) ,all of our starters and main courses were divine. I highly recommend everything on the menu including the desserts. Superb food. Don't miss it when you next visit Tuscany.

“Nice”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 November 2013

If you are in the area and visiting the Il Borro owned by Ferragamo, you may want to try it.
It is right next to the old "castle" in the hillside so it has an exiting location. The decor is nice but a bit modern for me. Service is professional. The dishes are nicely presented and tasty. Nothing fancy. I wasn't knocked over by the wine list but it could be just me.
We've had a nice evening but are not dreaming about going back. If you are in the area anyway, do it but don't make a long drive just for the restaurant. Nice but nothing special.

“Wow!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 November 2013 via mobile

What an elegant experience! The food was outstanding as was the service. We had lunch here on a very last minute recommendation of our hotel owner. It was the best and it was in our last day in Tuscany. I can't think of a better way to end this trip. Prices were a bit higher but I didn't mind since the quality and the atmosphere certainly made it all worthwhile. We'll definitely be back!
