Location description is very misleading. This place is not "7 minutes walk from the tube underground station". It is at least a 15 min walk to the station. Furthermore the actual trip on the tube to the main attractions is at least 40 minutes. The statement “20 minutes to city centre” is very misleading, as a trip from the accommodation to Trafalgar Square took about an hour.
There were no information booklets or guides left at the apartment. Not necessary, but it is the small details that shows the host cares. The place itself was… ok. The bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom were all as described. Both the kitchen and the bathroom had 4 light switches each for these neon blue lights on the floor, ceiling, basically everywhere. If you are into dancing with glowsticks they might amuse you, but they aren’t functional in any meaningful way. The kitchen was beautiful, but lacked even the most basic items. No salt, pepper, sugar, coffee, tea, detergent etc. Every single place I stayed in before had at least some of these items. Like the kitchen, the bathroom was beautiful, but lacked hand soap, toilet paper (3 rolls for 4 people for a week stay) and hairdryer. I stayed in the bedroom on the topmost floor. I could find exactly 1 power outlet in the entire bedroom, and the mattress was very, very uncomfortable.
The garden in the back was an absolute disaster. We could not use the clothesline until we spent half an hour pulling weeds obscuring it.
Communicating with the host was very challenging. I had to send a message using tripadvisor and email several times before I got a response. I requested a document from him in July and it was a struggle. He did not provide it until September.
TLDR; about an hour from central London, no coffee/tea/detergent/basics you would expect, uncomfortable mattress, very unkempt garden, host slow to respond.
