“Beautiful!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 June 2014

We have just returned from a fabulous trip to this hotel during the first week of June. From the moment we saw the view from our third floor balcony we can only describe this hotel as beautiful. The hotel was definitely a step up from the 'norm' with staff always ready to help and the facilities maintained to a high standard. The room was lovely, and we could not help but keep taking photos of our view morning, noon and night. The surroundings of the hotel were very pretty, but if you are located in the main building be prepared for lots of rugged steps to get down to the pool/beach! I am not aware that there was an alternative for those with mobility issues? The pool area was always well looked after and every set of sunbeds had a table and umbrella with mattresses to go round. We got the same spot every day without any race to reserve beds. The view from the pool area is also stunning, across the bay, as it is still elevated. We stayed 'Premier Plus' (all inclusive) so could have unlimited drinks during the day and lunch was buffet/barbeque style which was lovely, plenty of choice. It was blissful to be adults only, but it would have been nice to have some background relaxing music played round the pool. It does not have to be loud and intrusive but does aid relaxation and it was sometimes really very quiet. I would however, choose this over shrieking children any day! Dinner was again buffet style and the ambience in the main restaurant was always very pleasant. The dress code was adhered to but without it feeling overly formal. Again, plenty of choice of food. We did not venture to the evening entertainment much during our stay but what we did see was enjoyable.
The hotel is in a perfect location for short transfers from the airport and also close to Corfu town for a shopping trip. We went by taxi although the hotel does offer a bus service. We wanted the freedom to do what we wanted, and as it is so close it was not an expensive fare. The hotel arranged the taxi for us and the driver helped us with hints for an enjoyable day in the town.
All in all it was one of our best greek island trips to date. We will definitely aim to re-visit this hotel.

Room Tip: Third floor upwards for beautiful views.

Lovely place to stay, only had 3 days but I wish it had been longer. Rooms were great, we had a sea view and it was stunning. Staff were brilliant, nothing too much trouble, always smiling. All restaurants and bars were good offering good food and drink. Poll was fantastic as was the beach, something for everyone.

Room Tip: Try to get a sea view room with balcony. Not really a place for children and elderly/disabled people...

This is the first time I have reviewd a hotel as we usually (me and my husband) like to use Villas as we like our privacy. We booked this hotel because there was a specail offer and we were able to book a bungalow. Although the bungalow was really more of an aprtment with a balcony, we will definietly be using this chain of hotels again. The rooms and communal areas were spotless, the only place I noticed a small problem was in the pool bathrooms. The food was amazing and reasonably priced, the service was friendly and professional but most of all the gardens, which were maintained everyday by up to 4 gardners were breath taking. We can not fault this hotel and would highly reccommend it

Room Tip: We opted for a bungalow with a partial sea view, which was ok. You could spend more on a bungalow w...

We returned to eva palace for the 4 th consecutive year and were so delighted to be back. Everything was as good as we remembered it and we would like to compliment the fantastic staff and management on maintaining such a high standard. We had a lovely sea view room on the fifth floor which had fantastic views of the bay . The food was excellent ......... plenty of choices at all mealtimes. Panos looked after us with impeccable service at breakfast and dinner.....always with a great welcome . The pool bar staff work tirelessly to provide an efficient and friendly service.
We would recommend this hotel very highly and will be returning very soon .Thanks to everyone for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable .

My wife and I have just spent 11 nights at the wonderful Eva Palace hotel, where we had a very relaxing honeymoon - just what we needed after being so busy planning our wedding. On the 5th floor, our room had a spectacular panoramic view over Kommeno Bay, and the room itself was up to the 5 star standard with a comfortable, large bed, 40 inch Samsung flat screen TV (which we never used!), his & hers sinks and a bath with a powerful shower, from which you could appreciate the views as there is a clear glass partition to the main bedroom.

The pool and private beach are well maintained, and lovely relaxing places to spend your day. With no children around, it is lovely and quiet - bliss! Both areas have sufficient sun beds, so you can arrive later in the day and find a bed with no problem - and we were told that the hotel was at capacity. The pool was a little cold, but I'm sure it is perfect once it gets to the height of the Greek summer. There is a bar in the middle of the pool which serves drinks during the day, and then during the evening, as the entertainment is generally outside. The entertainment was enjoyable each night, with the highlight being the African acrobats show. Meanwhile, there is also a bar on the beach serving drinks in the day.

We were all inclusive (or as the hotel call it, 'Premium Plus') and the food was absolutely superb. There was a huge choice at breakfast, and the hot food was constantly replaced, so the food always tasted fresh and the meat was cooked to perfection. The lunchtime buffet restaurant was also superb, with a good choice, with fresh salads everyday, lots of hot food, and also a daily BBQ outside, from which the food tasted magnificent. You could also order simple food (eg. Burger & Chips) at the Pool Bar, delivered to your table. The dinner buffet was also superb, with a similar choice to lunch time, but also, always a few special items, including a carved roast meat. You also get one night at the Al a Carte restaurant (which is the lunchtime restaurant, turned over for the evening) where the choice was decent, food up to the usual standard, and service absolutely superb. Neither of us had any stomach issues at all during the 11 day stay, so that is always testament to the food quality. One small warning to the gents - pack some light trousers, as the dress code is trousers only for dinner.

Drinks wise, most of the all inclusive spirits are branded (eg. Beefeater Gin, Absolut Vodka, Famous Grouse Whisky, Havana Club Gin), the local wine is of a good quality, the house red being very light bodied, similar to a Pinot Noir or Beaujolais. You can choose a different bottle of red (as few all inclusive) at dinner, and at all times (even breakfast), there is also sparkling wine included by the glass (a half decent Italian Prosecco). You may also take a glass of lovely Greek desert wine with you from the bar to compliment the tempting selection of puddings. The beer is good, and is served in bottles or on draft, Soft drinks too are the big brands, Coca Cola, Sprite & Fanta. Each bar has plenty of menus which make it very clear what is included in the All Inclusive, which was the vast majority of drinks. The main exclusions were the odd fancy cocktail, and freshly squeezed orange juice. I can assure you that you will not go thirsty.

The staff at the hotel are tremendous, and are a real asset to the hotel, ensuring that you are treated like royalty. The waiters and waitresses work extremely hard, but are very polite, and always serve with a smile. Also, the management of the hotel are always around, mingling with guests, and often ask you if everything is OK. Even the cleaners, who did a thorough job, spoke a little English and were very polite. We thank all of the staff at the hotel for making our stay so special.

For those who like to explore, there are plenty of excursions, and the town is not too far away, with the hotel providing a reasonably priced shuttle bus. Meanwhile, on site activities do not seem to attract too many people, who seem hell bent on relaxation. We still enjoyed a game of kubb (try it while you are there, it is good fun), some aqua gym, darts and many games of table tennis, when the wind allowed (yes it seems to get very windy in the afternoon in early June).

Overall, I have no hesitation in highly recommending the Eva Palace to those who want to spend a relaxing holiday in the sunshine, in stunning natural surroundings, and be treated like VIPs, and eat like kings and queens. We definitely hope to return to the hotel one day.

Room Tip: The higher the room, the better the view. We never spent too long waiting for a lift.

Travelled first week in June with family to the Eva Palace. Where to start. The welcome was warm and friendly at reception and then we saw the views. Wow. The hotel stands on a peninsula overlooking Kommeno Bay and the views are just stunning. We never got bored of it in our week there.
Rooms were fine, nothing outstanding but were spotless every day, bed linen was changed at least twice whilst we were there. This pleased my wife! The food at breakfast and dinner in the main restaurant was excellent. The pool bar food was good (herby chips a must) and lunch in the a la carte restaurant was superb. Our deal included one dinner in the a la carte. It's a must and have the sea bass stuffed with smoked salmon and fennel wrapped in vine leaves.....divine.
The beach was pebbly in places and there were canoes and pedalos for hire as well as speed boats. Entertainment around the pool was minimal, just how we like it and never say any night time entertainment.
It's approx. 7 miles to Corfu Town, best by taxi as the walk to the nearest bus stop is approx. 30 mins plus.
Overall, a fantastic stay and well recommended.

We have recently returned from our holiday at the Eva Palace, where we stayed at the end of May.
Hugely impressed upon arrival at the size of the lobby, beautifully decorated, with luxurious seating areas, great for using the free wi-fi,also,we were greeted with a cool drink, before being shown to our room by a very helpful member of staff.
We were in room 248,and were delighted with it.Air con and safe, are included in the price, however the bonus was the lovely bathroom, with his and hers wash basins, and a bath/shower,enclosed with a glass wall,so,if you wanted to,you could soak up to your neck in bubbles, and enjoy the wonderful view through the sliding glass doors on to the balcony. The balcony overlooked the pool area, and on a clear day you can see the mountains of Albania.Comfy chairs and a table are on the balcony, along with a retractable clothes airer. The hotel also supply pool towels free of charge.
We had a great four poster bed,tv,CD player, easy chair, and small table.Toiletries and bath robes are also supplied.
Meals at the hotel are varied and plentiful, and run on a buffet style service, and the restaurant staff go over and above the call of duty to be as helpful as they can,as indeed,do all the staff, from the bar staff to the house keeping staff, they are without doubt, the best staff we have encountered on any holiday, anywhere.
There is quite a walk, down many steps to the pool area, but well worth it.Lunch is served here either in the restaurant,or in the pool bar area, there is also a beach bar,a little further down,on the hotels private beach, there you can get drinks etc, this is self service.Loungers are plentiful at the beach, and by the pool.lounger cushions are supplied also.
Evening entertainment is available every evening, except Sunday, that is good, and varied, the Greek dancers were a delight, and everyone is invited to join in.
The only minus I have,is that it is a little isolated,if,like us,you like to get out and about to meet the locals. The nearest lively town is Gouvia, and it costs € 10 in a taxi.€ 20 for a taxi into Corfu town, the hotel runs a courtesy bus at €10 per person, but you have to book it the day before. The local bus costs €2 per person to town but it is quite a long walk,30 minutes down a long lane,to the bus stop.
We would advise that guests take the Premium Plus option( all inclusive) as prices at the hotel are high for both food and drink, and this option will give the best value for money. That said, prices in Greece have soared over the last few years,so no doubt it will be the same every where.
We would certainly recommend this lovey, clean and luxurious hotel to anyone for a quiet relaxing holiday.
The last words are for the wonderful staff, thank you for being so attentive, helpful, and courteous to us during our stay.Simply the best.

Room Tip: I would imagine the views from first floor rooms may not be the best,we were on the second floor,and...
