“Homely cottage”
Reviewed 12 May 2018 for a stay in May 2018

Losing count of how many times we have stayed in Dove Cottage, about 6 I think, husband and I love it, cosy, homely, clean and in ideal spot for walking or touring. Patrick is always helpful, I'm pretty sure we'll be back again soon.

“Perfect cosy cottage”
Reviewed 20 March 2018 for a stay in March 2018

Dove cottage is lovely - beautiful, comfortable and very cosy. My wife and I stayed here for an anniversary weekend and loved every moment.

Patrick was really helpful in the run-up to our stay, arranging for breakfast supplies to be delivered from the Village Stores before our arrival, and supplying a mobile phone that worked in the village (only O2 and Three have reception).

The village is gorgeous, and everything you could possibly need including shops, a tea room and a great pub are only a few steps away from the cottage.

“Manifold Cottage”
Reviewed 22 August 2017 for a stay in July 2017

We stayed in Manifold cottage attached next to Dove. It was a lovely old cottage in a quiet courtyard. Lovely area with couple of pubs. Devonshire Arms were so friendly and food was very good and nice to sit and people watch outside as this is hub for walkers and cyclists. We also ate at pub across the road Charles Cotton which was nice too. We booked through Hartington Cottages and Patrick was very helpful.
We were greeting by very friendly cleaner who helped when we could not get TV to work.
Cottage was lovely and clean.
You dont get any mobile reception at the cottage but thats not a bad thing!
We were central to all other villages that were only a short drive away.
At end of our stay we booked ourselves in for breakfast at the Manifold Inn which we have done before in the past and that did not disappoint. Would not hesitate to go back.

Management Response
22 Aug 2017
Hi Frances,
We really appreciate your spending the time giving us a review and also of course nicer to see it got five stars! Just for the benefit of other persons reading this review, I would mention that phones operating on the 02 service do get a good signal, so those guests can decide whether the cottages are in the right location depending on whether they want to or don't want to receive phone calls.

Lovely, peaceful cottage, with everything you need. Close to some great towns, villages, walks and a fantastic cheese shop in the center of harrington that needs to be sampled.
