Had a drive from our caravan in Towyn to Abergele to see if there were any nice pubs to have a decent Sunday lunch. Discovered the Harp, after a nosey inside we decided to visit the next day. Sunday lunch was lovely, a little gutted they ran out of chocolate fudge cake but apple pie made up for it......all fresh and homemade. Children's portions were just right. The menu for the week looked tempting too.

This used to be a very popular pub but now seems to be struggling on certain nights.
A decent pint of real ale and friendly to visitors
I am not sure whether door staff are needed but they are friendly

My friend and I have visited the Harp a few times and we've been quite satisfied with the meal. Our last 2 visits were very disappointing. After waiting an hour and a half for our main we then ordered apple pie but we asked if the pie would be warmed in the microwave.....we were told 'definitely not' but after 30 minutes it arrived lukewarm and microwaved!! The following night we tried the Harp again. We ordered a roast beef and onion baguette. Unfortunately they had no baguettes so we were offered a bloomer. About 45 minutes later the sandwich arrived on extra thick BREAD with a minute steak on it which was wafer thin and disgusting. When we enquired about this we were told that they had run out of roast beef so they used a minute steak which costs about 20p to buy. The serving staff were very polite and they deducted 50% off the price of our food but only after we complained. We wouldn't recommend the Harp to anyone unless they change their act. People want good food these days, not plastic meats and warmed up chips! Sort your act out in the kitchen!!!

Went for lunch. We're camping and needed somewhere for breakfast. The local cafe who advertise breakfast wouldn't take a booking. The harp opened its doors and did a grand breakfast for 13 of us
