“Great location, friendly professional owner & staff, excellent food & accomodation”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 May 2009

We stayed at the Kinmel Manor Hotel as a family of 5 for 2 nights, to celebrate my sister's Golden Wedding on Sun May 3rd.
On arrival on Sat May 2nd we were greeted by Tom who was more than helpful.
All 3 rooms that had been booked were of high standard, cleanliness, spacious, exactly as the hotel brochure states.
All arrangements were in place for the function on the Sunday, excellent food, great service, all guests commented what a wonderful party.
I would like to compliment Colin & his staff on the service we received as hotel guests also as a family in the Golden Wedding celebration.
(I must also thank Cheryl from the domestic staff for her cooperation when our room was occupied & she was desperate to service our room)
I highly reccommend this hotel, stayed here many times, can't wait to stay again!!!!

We have stayed at Kinmel Manor several times its a excellent hotel. The staff have always been great and very helpful. The rooms are clean and tidy. The food is good and we find has they welcome children its first place on our list to stay when up in that area. Also the pool and facilities are clean and tidy and the children thoughly enjoy the pool.

Hunted high and low for a family room (2 adults and two children) in a hotel in North Wales, found Kinmel Mnaor Hotel and all appeared OK. Lovely setting surrounded by fields with sheep and horses. The reception and bar area are dated and in need of attention. The room - well to be fair it turned out to be a suit with a double bed in one room and devided bunk beds in the other and a 'terrace' area adjoining both rooms at the back. Both had a TV, no storage space in the smaller room but plenty in the larger room. Usual problem with leaky shower. The room was again dated and shabby. We had a lovely few hours enjoying the pool, sauna and spa all to ourselves. This is another area that desperatly needs attention. There is a lovely decking area to the front with a large canopy over, I thought this was maybe the start of a much needed list of changes but turned out to be for the benefit of smokers !! Beakfast was good with a good choice of cereals and cooked items (buffet style). Overall Ok but would not go back.

SMall and badly managed hotel. Looks like it used to be a good place decades ago, but no more. Reception was unmanned, so took ages to check in when eventually a cigarette smoking receptionist appeared. Room was something like Butlins in the 1960's - very basic and cheap - on the verge of falling apart to be honest. Had to que up for a drink in the [empty] bar due to the manager, bar man, chefs and waiting staff being sat around it drinking, smoking and being rowdy. Had an uncomfortable and noisy night sleep, followed by a very dull breakfast - silence in the dining room, with guests sat there waiting for beakfast which was late for everyone. Also got told off the the hungover manager for sitting at the wrong table - made me feel a bit annoyed in a silent room full of people. (out of interest - he still smelled of cigarettes and beer from the night before, and appeared to be wearing the same clothes!). Wasn't abnle to check out as reception was unmanned that morning, so dumped my key and left. Had a call from them the day after asking why I hadn't paid, and was told they were debiting my credit card for payment. Fine by me, but didnt have to happen. Would not recommend this place if the same management are in place. Fortunately, I think its now been bough by another company, so will have new management. With some decent customer service and some money thrown at it for refurbishment, this place could be great - fingers crossed!

  • Liked — Handy location, bit of history to it as well.
  • Disliked — Shaby customer service and rooms.
