Secluded, delightful location, and our second visit was every bit as good as our first!

In an era when everything on the internet is dubiously described as 'perfect', we can honestly say that 'The Cottages' are as close to perfection as you'll likely encounter.

Warm and friendly owners, whose approachable, easy going manner makes a stay at 'The Cottages' all the more pleasurable.

Go! You will not regret it.

We both had a fantastic long weekend in the cottages. Spotlessly clean and right on the beach with the gorgeous Relish restaurant only a 5 minute walk away (along the beach) . Everything was spotlessly clean and the gardens were immaculately kept. Plenty to see and do in the area including sign-seeing and decent shopping and boutique eateries in Drogheda. The complex is fully gated on the road and beach sides so would also make an ideal destination for a family of for extended family stays.

I found these cottages on the internet and recently had the priviledge of staying in the Apple Loft. They truly exceeded our expectations - cozy, comfortable, well-appointed with great views! Can't wait until we have the opportunity for a return visit.

Had a wonderful stay in Apple Loft cottage. Clean as a new pin, beautifully equipped and extremely comfortable - we had a great three days there and would love to reurn one day. As others have said, Liz is very welcoming, and her scones and jam are absolutely delicious! We felt very much at home and enjoyed walking on the wide sandy beach at the bottom of the garden, and eating out one evening at Relish, ten minutes' walk away. Also enjoyed a meal at the Eastern Seaboard Bar and Grill. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: All the cottages seem lovely.

My friend and I were travelling in Ireland and wanted to rent a thatched cottage. To my delight, we found The Cottages on-line and there happened to be a vacancy. We stayed in the Orchard Cottage. If you saw the movie, The Holiday with Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz, who swap homes and Cameron Diaz gets to stay in Kate's little cottage, which was in England by the way and not Ireland; nevertheless, The Cottages reminded me of Kate's home. Liz, the owner/operator of The Cottages, is a beautiful woman who makes you feel as though she is welcoming you into her home. Liz's attention to detail is evident in the decor, the cleanliness and all the amenities. I can't say enough about my experience at The Cottages. Just as a sideline, my profession as an Interior Decorator requires me to meet and recognize high standards and The Cottages is exactly that.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at The Cottages. It was like home from home. We travelled from Donegal across through Armagh and down along the coast. We visited Newgrange, also along the coast to Skerries and Howth where we stopped for something to eat, all very pleasant. On way back we visited Cavan and Enniskillen. We enjoyed our walks on the beach at The Cottages.
A lovely place to unwind with lovely garden and every comfort. We had a lovely meal in Relish Restaurant nearby, cosy and very welcoming. We will recommend The Cottages to our friends from Donegal to Cork and look forward to a return visit ourselves.

Just a 45 minute drive from our home in south Dublin but a million miles away in terms of getting a break from the city.

The cottages themselves are nicely hidden away from the two villages of Laytown and Bettystown. A nice peaceful setting with a little play area for kids and easy access directly onto the beach. Everything you could possibly need was supplied in the cottage, and having access to the Freeview channels was great (we had a baby with us so we weren't going to stray too far!).

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The only thing they couldn't arrange was the weather :)

We were on a package deal which made the entire break great value.
