My spouse and I stayed in The Rose Cottage for ten days in August. We had read the rave reviews and found everything and everybody related to The Cottages as wonderful as advertised. Liz is an extraordinarily friendly host, who lets you know she is glad to have you staying with her. Mel was available when we needed her. The Rose Cottage was larger than we anticipated, the location was great. A few minute walk to downtown and the wonderful Relish restaurant. We hope to return in the future and give our wholehearted endorsement for this great vacation spot.

went here with my wife and two year old son for a three day break for some relax time, on arrival we were greeted by Mel who was lovely, when Mel left it was like it was home away from home, beautiful sea views lovely gardens and a cottage to die for with everything needed right at hand, was a little disappointed we had only one bedroom open in the cottage even though their were two, just meant the baby slept in our room, but overall it is a fantastic break and we will return in the near future,

Room Tip: stay away from Chans Chinese, food was the saltiest I have ever eaten.

We have just returned from spending a week in Apple Loft Cottage. The combination of hospitality ,quality of the cottage and the setting, mean that for us, it will be the cottage rental all others are compared with.
Liz, Roger and Mel gave us a lovely warm welcome, Liz and Mel are a mine of information and gave us so many helpful hints and tips about the area. We were made to feel that if there was anything we needed or wanted help with, then all we had to do was ask. Apple Loft Cottage seemed to be larger than it appears in the photos - very well equipped, had a nice comfortable feel to it and views from the lounge and bedrooms down to the sea. Towels and linen were changed every few days. As a complex, The Cottages and gardens are maintained to a very high standard and with those with picture postcard views.
The beach seemed huge - we estimate that it might take 90 minutes or so to walk from one end to the other. It is also well used - we even saw a girls hurling team practicing one evening but there was never a feeling of being crowded. Other users were very friendly.
We had a very good evening meal at Relish just 10 minutes walk down the beach in Bettystown. There is a Tesco in Bettystown as well as two other smaller supermarkets - we liked the Donavans supermarket . There is a much bigger Tesco in Balbriggan about 20 minutes drive away.
We have booked cottages for many years now but we both agree that The Cottages have been the best we have booked & will now be the bench mark for the rest.. Please have no doubt....The Cottages are really as good, if not better, than they seem.

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome. The cottage was immaculately presented and very well equipped. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and Liz and Roger were the perfect hosts.

The cottage had great views out over the beach to the sea and the only problem for our two girls (7 and 5) was whether to go for the beach first thing in the morning or over to the childrens play area. Bettystown and Laytown are both short walks along the beach and Dublin is only a short car journey away.

We have booked a number of holidays through Premier Cottages in the last few years all of which have been good but this is undoubtedly the best!

Very much looking forward to coming back.

I am an artist (composer) who wanted to have no noise and the inspiration of the sea at the window. This cottage was simply perfect. A short walk to the village will get you supplies. If you want to get away it is lovely! Excellent for either romantic couples or singles. I will definitely come again if i wish for another artistic getaway. The main room of the cottage is linked openplan to the kitchen, so that the whole has a very large feeling of expanse and privilege and comfort. The main bedroom (though other bedrooms sleep many more than one) was luxuriously comfortable, and sheets/towels were changed on request. I was also left alone by the cleaner on my request, and no problem was expressed with that, which made me feel even more welcome and respected. Comfort, quiet, the sea literally at the end of a short garden out the window... privacy... and the beach right there to walk on any time of day or night. The owners were easy and charming to deal with. It is all thoroughly recommended! I look forward to my next artistic retreat!

What an absolute gem to find.....I couldn't recommend the cottages highly enough..staff so welcoming, made us feel at home straight away, we stayed in Little Orchard (myself, husband and 3 boys) it was so spacious and comfortable and only a stone throw away from the beach, which was beautiful... Perfect little holiday :)

When the gate opened to allow our entry into The Cottages, we were overwhelmed with the beauty of the gardens and immaculate grounds. We stayed in Thatcher's Rest Cottage and couldn't have been more pleased with the accommodations. Every need was anticipated and more than met. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodated our early arrival with suggestions for cafes for lunch and dinner. We had friends from Europe meet us there and they were very impressed with the cottages and gardens. The beaches were wonderful and we were looking at the calendar to see if we could extend our stay and go back to The Cottages - unfortunately, they were completely booked. If you want to experience the real Ireland, and want a relaxing, convenient location, we suggest that you stay at The Cottages.

Room Tip: Thatcher's Rest comfortably accommodated 6 people.
