I am an author on the Oregon Coast. I went to Ireland to do research for an upcoming novel. My husband and I stayed at The Cottages and had a fantastic time. What a beautiful setting, and the Apple Cottage was everything one would expect an Irish cottage to be. Came home and told all our friends. Thank you Liz, Roger, and Mel for making our stay so memorable! Imagine ... being greeted by homemade scones and tea. You were most welcoming. Now we can honestly say we have friends in Ireland.

The Cottages are fantastic!!! We slept 4 adults and 3 young children comfortably in a quaint cottage that was well modernized inside. The location was great - beach outside the door; walking distance to Bettystown and Laytown; short drive to Dublin and major roadways.

What a special place! My sister and I and our two young families stayed there over Christmas. It couldn't have been nicer. Cosy but still spacious, charming, well-equipped cottages with a gorgeous view. Just a lovely feeling of calm. We felt it was ours. We joined the rest of our family in our parents' house for Christmas day but actually hosted brunch the next day in the cottages - a treat for people who live abroad! Such nice people too - so helpful and warm. Liz had scones waiting for us as well as a Christmas tree and that was the level of service that we received right from booking to the morning we left. Our children loved having their own private path to the beach and wrapped up warm, there was nothing nicer than a walk on the beach after our Christmas indulgence. Our husbands and brothers even went for a dip....That is a personal choice!

My spouse and I stayed in The Rose Cottage for ten days in August. We had read the rave reviews and found everything and everybody related to The Cottages as wonderful as advertised. Liz is an extraordinarily friendly host, who lets you know she is glad to have you staying with her. Mel was available when we needed her. The Rose Cottage was larger than we anticipated, the location was great. A few minute walk to downtown and the wonderful Relish restaurant. We hope to return in the future and give our wholehearted endorsement for this great vacation spot.

went here with my wife and two year old son for a three day break for some relax time, on arrival we were greeted by Mel who was lovely, when Mel left it was like it was home away from home, beautiful sea views lovely gardens and a cottage to die for with everything needed right at hand, was a little disappointed we had only one bedroom open in the cottage even though their were two, just meant the baby slept in our room, but overall it is a fantastic break and we will return in the near future,

Room Tip: stay away from Chans Chinese, food was the saltiest I have ever eaten.

We have just returned from spending a week in Apple Loft Cottage. The combination of hospitality ,quality of the cottage and the setting, mean that for us, it will be the cottage rental all others are compared with.
Liz, Roger and Mel gave us a lovely warm welcome, Liz and Mel are a mine of information and gave us so many helpful hints and tips about the area. We were made to feel that if there was anything we needed or wanted help with, then all we had to do was ask. Apple Loft Cottage seemed to be larger than it appears in the photos - very well equipped, had a nice comfortable feel to it and views from the lounge and bedrooms down to the sea. Towels and linen were changed every few days. As a complex, The Cottages and gardens are maintained to a very high standard and with those with picture postcard views.
The beach seemed huge - we estimate that it might take 90 minutes or so to walk from one end to the other. It is also well used - we even saw a girls hurling team practicing one evening but there was never a feeling of being crowded. Other users were very friendly.
We had a very good evening meal at Relish just 10 minutes walk down the beach in Bettystown. There is a Tesco in Bettystown as well as two other smaller supermarkets - we liked the Donavans supermarket . There is a much bigger Tesco in Balbriggan about 20 minutes drive away.
We have booked cottages for many years now but we both agree that The Cottages have been the best we have booked & will now be the bench mark for the rest.. Please have no doubt....The Cottages are really as good, if not better, than they seem.

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome. The cottage was immaculately presented and very well equipped. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and Liz and Roger were the perfect hosts.

The cottage had great views out over the beach to the sea and the only problem for our two girls (7 and 5) was whether to go for the beach first thing in the morning or over to the childrens play area. Bettystown and Laytown are both short walks along the beach and Dublin is only a short car journey away.

We have booked a number of holidays through Premier Cottages in the last few years all of which have been good but this is undoubtedly the best!

Very much looking forward to coming back.
