As other people have mentioned the Thomas Cook transfer was ridiculously long. 3.5 hours with a comfort break an hour after leaving the airport. Our return trip was direct on minibus with pickups in Marmaris and was only 2 hours but I would consider organising my own transfer by taxi in future approx 75 mins and £50 each way. That aside from the moment we arrived and Hussein introduced himself it was perfect. The first room allocated to us had a double bed due to lack of info from Thomas Cook but he immediately swapped us to Room A101 on the ground floor with twin beds and while it may not have had the view it was a lovely cool room. We only used air con for a couple of hours in the evening to cool the bedroom before sleeping in July. The beds were very comfortable (firm mattress), and the shower was well fitted and it was lovely having a proper cubicle as opposed to the open wet room I have had in Greece. There was always plenty of hot water and the cleaners were in every day and did a very good job. The kitchen area only had a 2 ring hob and a kettle but we don't cook on holiday so I can not say how easy it was to cater for yourselves or not. On our second night we sat with Hussein and his wife while having a drink before bed and it was fascinating to find out he belongs to one of Turunc's original 4 families and how many of his family live and work in the resort. The apartment and grounds were well kept and they always had a friendly smile and greeting for you when going out or coming back in (we prefer beach to pool). I was very impressed by the Rose and Turunc itself and would have loved to have stayed longer and hope to get back in the future.
