“Beautiful but staff let it down”
Reviewed 11 October 2013

Mustafa and Sevgi were the perfect hosts and I mean this sincerely. The villas were absolutely superb, clean and spacious, all mod cons you would expect.
Stayed for two weeks and enjoyed the local amenities despite the very very steep steps to the free transfer to the beach (not really a beach as such, more of a sea front) but the restaurants were great (pick and choose carefully though).
Food is VERY expensive if you choose to stay for the themed evening meals at the main restaurant at the villas.
Suggest you self cater and have only a few meals there in the evening or go to the "beach".
If you want cheap tat clothing then Turunç is the place for you. Very much like Dagenham Market.
Mustafa and Sevgi speak great English and to repeat myself, were the epitome of friendliness and fonts of knowledge.
Beware the bar and waiting staff though.
They will drink all night and get drunk at the expense of service.
Visited with my family in October 2012 and one member of staff in particular took a shine to my wife. Freddie (Ferudun) was like a slug, all over her while I was present and made us both feel very uncomfortable indeed. I spent a fortune travelling with Secret Escapes only to have this ruined by a barman. I have no axe to grind other than Freddie caused us both some uncomfortable evenings. We actually cringed when he served us both and left early for the night.
Hopefully he is no longer working there.
Other than this specific issue, we had a great time and loved the villa.
Cleaners very polite and serviced the villas every day.

Dear Guest(s)-

Thank you for your review. We are very sorry to hear the unacceptable behaviour of one of our staff. We wish you had an opportunity to bring this matter to our attention much earlier, so we could have expressed our sincere apologies to you without any delay. We have a zero tolerance for such an incident. The reputation/image of our property is a vital factor for us. The waiter/barman you have mentioned in your review is no longer with us since the end of October 2012. Unfortunately, at that time of the season, we were distracted from business for a short period of time due to serious illness ( dementia ) in the family. We realize that this can not be an excuse. We apologize for lack of our administration in our difficult times.
Hoping to seeing you again.
Most Sincerely

Travelled on 7th September for one week........stayed for two!!! Perfect place to relax, Mustafa, Sevgi, Murat and team are the perfect hosts without being over the top. Clearly having your own pool is lovely but the whole ambience of the place is perfect. Panning to return soon a place to unwind after Istanbul.

Food, service and company were all spot on

All aspects of our recent stay at Piynar Villa hotel were to the highest standard; from the warm greeting and complimentary drinks on arrival through to our hosts waving us off the premises as though saying goodbye to members of their own family. The owners of this property genuinely deliver top notch customer service which is evident across their whole team, whether maintenance, cleaning, bar or restaurant staff.
As other reviewers have said we met several repeat visitors, and it seemed like 'home from home' for them.
After 4 nights in Istanbul, we were looking forward to some relaxation & Piynar certainly met our expectations.
Thank you to Sevgi, Mustafa, Murat, Errol & Borish for a fantastic holiday! We miss you already..

The owners & the staff were very caring, accommodative & nice people. They were very baby friendly & the babysitting service was very good. The property is well maintained & clean. The restaurant food was tasty & the table-setting by the pool was a very nice touch for couples like us who couldn't go out much due to having a small baby.

My wife, ten year-old daughter and myself have just spent a wonderful week here. As vegetarians we have had wildly different experiences travelling over the years; our stay at Piynar was definitely one of the best. The staff at Piynar were very accommodating, suggesting dishes that they were able to prepare and then delivering wonderful, fresh food.

Spent first week in July at Piynar and can only agree wholeheartedly with the previous reviews. Thanks to Sevgi, Mustafa, Murat, Erol, Tekin and the rest of the team we had the most relaxing time and enjoyed the best service we have ever experienced. This is the first holiday for years where we haven't hired a car and we found we didn't miss it. Instead we used the complimentary shuttle and taxis but we spent more time in the villa and restaurant and bar than we would usually do and although the villas were not all taken we enjoyed getting to know the other guests. Can't speak highly enough of Piynar and also Exclusive Escapes and in the words of Tina, "You're simply the best, better than all the rest"

Hotel is just off the main road into Turunc, on the hillside next to a pine forest. It's less than 10 minutes by car to Turunc, but the Piynar Villas are not signposted from the main road - so not easy to find if you don't know where you're going.
There is a shuttle service into Turunc in the morning, afternoon and evening. The morning shuttle will allow you to get the Dionysos shuttle to their beach club at Kumlubuk, or the Piynar shuttle bus might take you there for a fee if the driver is free. There is a return shuttle service from the Dionysos beach club to Turunc, although the timings seem to be a bit flexible. Taxis at the stand in Turunc are familiar with the Piynar Villas and will charge you approx £5 for the return trip. Ask Sevgi or Murat for a business card in case of any communication difficulties!
The villas are quite close together, but laid out to provide as much privacy as possible. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the pool and garden area.
As a couple travelling, the villas gave us much more space and privacy than we would usually get in a hotel, at a very reasonable cost. The beds are comfortable and there is plenty of storage space. We found that leaving the air conditioning on in the living area overnight, with the bedroom door open worked better for us than having the bedroom unit on. The villas are comfortable, rather than stylish but true to the pictures on the Exclusive Escapes website, so we were not disappointed.
You are provided with a litre bottle of water, tea, coffee and creamer to get you started. Soft drinks, beer, wine, sweets and savoury snacks are provided on a "mini bar" basis. You can buy very large bottles of water at the "honesty market" to keep you going - you'll need them! It also stocks toiletry basics, cleaning stuff, soft drinks, snacks, beer, wine and ice cream. There is also a free book exchange, internet access (if you're lucky) and wi-fi.
If you want to self cater you will need to shop in town. Since there is a good restaurant on site and they are happy to deliver meals to your villa for no extra charge, we didn't bother.
We chose to eat in on 4 of our 7 nights and went into Turunc on the other 3. You can choose from a daily 4-course menu or a la carte.
There is also a nice little bar on site, which gives you the opportunity to get to know your hosts and fellow guests better. It's particularly popular for pre-dinner drinks.
Sevgi, Mustafa and Murat are excellent hosts and all speak fluent English, having lived and worked in the USA. The rest of the team are also friendly and efficient.
All in all the Piynar is a great place to stay if you are visiting this part of Turkey and many guests return time and time again.
