we spent the first two weeks of sept in turkey at the gozdem 1.we didnt arrive until about 1 in the morning, we were greeted by the manager ( owners son i think ) and after a few mins we were taken up to our room (109), there was an additional cost of £50 for the air con ( which was needed) this was only in the bedroom, and £10 for the safe. after the flight and then the long transfer all we wanted was a cup of tea,i asked the manager if he had any water, milk and suger at all,he told me just to wait and after a few mins he turned up with what i had asked for,he had jumped on his scooter and gone to a shop for us,what a star. the apparment was a little dated but it was spotlessly clean,a small bathroom, toilet, sink and a corner shower, the bedroom had two single beds, dressing table and a full length built in wardrobe plus a small balcony, the lounge was a good size, 2 large sofa's and a tv ( 3 channel's in english, bbc world news, cnn news and a movie channel), the kitchen area had a kettle, and a 2 ring hot plate plus fridge with a frezzer compartment and the usual knives, forks pans etc, another balcony which had a table and 4 chairs. there was a small pool which was about 5ft 6 deep and about a dozen sun loungers and umbrellas, the pool was pretty cool but it was fantastic in the hot turkish sun. the hotel is in a great position only a minute walk to the beach and the shops and resturants. turunc is a great small resort very friendly locals and many many guests that return year after year,i was told it was turkey without the hassle of the resorts like marmaris and icmeler and thats what it is,we will certainly return and again at gozem 1

just returned from two weeks staying at Gozdem 1. the apartments are ideally located and the owners cannot do enough for you. they are always immaculately clean, as is the bar and pool areas. nothing is too much trouble for the staff and the food they provide at the bar, whilst basic, is very cheap and good quality.
we had a ground floor apartment, sleeping two adults and two children without seeming crowded. Two balconies meant there was always somewhere to sit in the sun or to dry towels etc. The bathroom was a decent standard and although the cooking facilities were basic the cost of eating out meant this was no problem.
I cannot think of a downside to staying here and I can now see why so many of the reviewers on here are regularly returning year on year.

Just had two wonderful weeks in Turunc, staying at Gozdem 2. Our first time visiting Turkey, and this was a rather lovely introduction. Well equipped and clean rooms, friendly owners, small but neat pool, two minute walk to the beach... couldn't fault it at all. Turunc is a beautiful resort, quiet and very friendly. If you're looking for noisy bars and rowdy clubs, this isn't the place for you. But if you want to experience a piece of unspoilt Turkey, laze on a lovely beach, dine in some fine but cheap Turkish restaurants, and while away the long hot nights in a friendly bar, then get on a plane to Turunc. Loved every second of it.. :-)

We travel to Turunc last year and were very happy at this accommodation. We had a nice mini-apartment, consisting of a bedroom, an open-plan living room with kitchen, balcony and bathroom. The flat was cleaned every day and the towels and sheets were changed twice in the week we were there. The owners of the place are in residence and very charming and kind. Turunc was perfect for us since we were looking forward to relax and rest but somebody can find the pace there too quite. We rented a car for a few days and went up and down the coast that was great. We also did a boat trip and enjoyed it a lot, I would like to recommend that.
We are going back there again, so what more can I say.....

We have recently come back from a fortnights holiday in Turunc. The village is very quiet during the day and also very quiet during the evening so if you're looking for a bit of nightlife here forget it. The Gozdem 1 Apartments were very nice, rooms cleaned every day, staff very polite. But unfortunately there was no atmosphere around the pool. They had a telly there but all they showed on it was Turkish news - music around the poolside is always a must. Don't go to the restaurants on the sea front for evening meals - not good value but we did find some very good restaurants a couple of streets up - one being called Pashas - lovely meals, good value and nice setting. Would recommend this. We also went to the next bay along called Amos by the Dolmus bus. The bus leaves you on the road and then you have to walk down a very steep road to get to the beach but once there it's very nice with a lovely fish restaurant. We spent a weekend in Icmeler at the Toulan Apartments - would have been very disappointed if we had to spend a fortnight there - very run down.

Room Tip: We had a ground floor apartment near the bar - the only problem with that was the Turkish news on th...

We went to stay in Gozdem 1 in May 2013 for the first time, what a find! The owners are lovely and friendly and will offer any assistance to help you enjoy your stay. The apartments are clean and comfortable, with enough basic kitchen equipment to prepare a basic meal/ salad.Turunc itself is lovely, not too busy when we were there, with enough shops for some gift shopping without being pestered to death like in Marmaris and fun bars, M42 is the place to check out, if you like music and laughs. them there's the great food in wonderful restaurants! We could recommend so many, Blond Yeu and John's place to name but two - the fish and grilled meats are fantastic. The harbour area is great to sit and people watch as life goes by, and the boat trips are fun if you like exploring - take lots of water & sunscreens & hats.
All in all we had a fabulous time and would definitely hope to revisit and I'm not sure why I'm telling you all, as now this will encourage you to visit too and it will get busier!!

Room Tip: I would stay in Gozdem 1 as there is more sun around the pool and have an apartment overlooking the...

We have stayed in Gozdem 1 and 2 for a month every year since 1996 . Each year it gets even better. Gunduz works really hard each winter to make more and more improvements. Dursen, Busra and Berkay make every effort to ensure that everyone who stays there has a wonderful relaxing holiday.Whenever Turkish people ask us where we are staying and we say Gozdem, they congratulate us for choosing the best.We can't recommend it highly enough.

Room Tip: Upstairs more private but all are good
