We have just returned from a 10 night stay at Nubliere and we had a fantastic stay. We have 2 boys - a 4 year old and 5 year old. This lake is just so picturesque and this campsite is in a great location and has lovely views - loved just being able to walk out to the lake and walk in the nature reserve - we took a picnic in the evening and watched the sun going down - BBQs allowed. Plots were generous and we easily pitched a large tunnel tent, a day tent, a car and small boat- we did request a large plot - the campsite plots are all good but some are bigger tahn others. The facilities were excellent and kept constantly clean. The showers were hot and the family showers great- toilets very clean - there was even a dog shower for our labradors. Bins were emptied daily and the campsite was clean and very well maintained. The kids club was good but our children were more than entertained by the beach (course sand so you could build sandcastles), swimming in the beautifully clean and warm lake. The nature reserve next to the campsite is beautiful and added a whole new dimension to facilities - walks, a castle ruin and a great pebbly river to dam. Parasenders land just behind the campsite and add a colourful display in the sky. We took our own boat and we easily sailed it from the shore of the private beach. We also hired a family boat from the sailing club next door where you could hire a range of sailing vessels, kayaks and pedalos. There are loads of walks, a cycle path, lovely local market and loads of days out - the waterfall and cave at Seythenex (a short car ride) and Gorge Fier - great trips that will make you want to take pictures - camera essential - getting up into the mountains breathtaking esp from the parasending site. The sunshine was in the camp most of the day till about 8am- 7pm - other campsites lost the sun. There was lots of entertainment for the children - crafts/ walks/ a boat trip and the evening entertainment pretty usual - disco/ karaoke - but this ended at 10.30pm and then the campsite was very peaceful. Older children may be a bit bored - playground (one on the beach) , bouncy castles and sports area more than enough for ours. You could order roast chicken, pizza, chips from the shop and there is 2 restaurants in easy walking distance (one on the public beach). The shop sold fresh bread, croissants and pain au chocolate daily. Most essentials covered including meat/ camping essentials. The reception was friendly helpful and there is a tourist information very near the campsite that has masses of info too. Wifi was difficult and you had to go to the reception area to access it but seeing as we weren't interested in checking emails and internet we were fine - weather was updated daily in the Reception. We are already booking for next year already!
