aquatika is a great place to stay at in puerto rico. we are a family of seven, and we rented an apt from angel acosta, who gave us cheap but very comfortable accomodations (3 bedroom 2 baths with towels and washer/dryer and cooking and eating utensils). we stayed at apt. 4902 which was not bad at all. the apt complex was well maintained with the grounds and pools cleaned everyday. directly in front of us was the pool with the heated jacuzzi. it was so nice to just soak at the heated pool for a long time. and there's also the private beach which was nice too. there's a restaurant right at the beach next to the apt. complex. the fresh seafood esp. the fried whole red snapper and shrimp empanadas were to die for. the only thing was it's only open on the weekends. when we got there, we did not have a car so we hired a cab to drive us there ($60 is the regular rate to get to loiza from the airport). our very nice and honest taxi driver (jose lopez 787-9420262) drove us to the apartment, then to walmart and waited an hour for us to shop for food and toiletries, then drove us back to the apt. but only charged us cheaply for it. at our last day there,he also picked us up and took us to old san juan for a walking tour (he waited again for us for 2 hrs while we were touring and only charged us $30/hr). we left our bags with him too. the only thing was since we didnt have a car, we were basically trapped inside the apt complex because there's no restaurants (except for the one earlier which is only open on weekends)/other establishments there. we were only there for 4 days though, so it didnt really matter. we got a lot of r&r which for me translates to a really really nice vacation.
