“Tired looking Hotel”
Reviewed 5 March 2014

The hotel could do with some serious updating. The rooms were extremely hot and the air-conditioning was noisy. There were lots of mosqitoes in the rooms. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable. The bathroom lighting was poor, and one of the rooms had a mouldy shower curtain. The were no room safes. The staff were not interested and the bar staff were clueless. Breakfast was dreadful, there were insects crawling on the tables and on the food.

What a charming place this city is! and how well this hotel reflects it.
The lobby is unpretentious and the rooms, though rather old-fashioned, perfectly adequate for our needs. The shower worked well, with plenty of hot water . The beds were just about acceptable.
We enjoyed eating in the hotel's restaurant. We found the Thai food tasty and surprisingly cheap This was true of lunch, dinner and breakfast.
I noted the honesty of the waitress when she discovered that we'd been overcharged on our bill for dinner. The prices were so good, I was not aware of this until she returned with the corrected check-bin.
This typified the staff. We were made to feel very comfortable.
We liked the setting, too. The river is beautiful and a walk along the river bank is worthwhile.
This part of Thailand is not well-known by tourists; it is worth a visit.

Old hotel that has suffered as a result of under investment.

Arrived on a Friday night and the staff were unable to even book a taxi for us, unbelievable.

The place needs a refurb, the bathroom shower control was all loose, the toilet didn't flush properly and the room lights were oppressive, The bedding was also tatty.

This is not what was expected of such a hotel.

The town seems unable to cope with tourists, especially after dinner time, it is absolutely dead at night.

I had the pleasure to stay 10 days in this great hotel with my son on a Thailand Trip in july 2013.
Rooms were fine, bath and toilet perfect, breakfast was very good, internet very fast and stable, and the kindness of the workers there were perfect, but also not too intrusive.
The stay is cheap, but that is definitely not reflected in the quality and service.
This is certainly a hotel I can recommend and I will definitely stay here again next time.
Thank you for a great stay, and see you next time.

Room Tip: Get a room with riverview (front side), they cost the same as backside rooms, bur the view is very n...

Location
It has been four years since I have stayed here for a three week stay that was truly enjoyable. It is a perfect location with tennis courts, park with exercise equipment provided by the city with no charge, a joining tree lined park with paved walkway, with full kids park and play area. Across from a river area with paved walkways. Street markets, shops and vendors are all close to hotel.
Hotel
Have two vans, good secure parking, good lobby, very good hotel staff and parking lot staff.

Three areas have slipped since my last stay. Rates are high enough to not cut the obvious cost areas.
1) In Hotel
• Lights turned off in hallway areas with unoccupied rooms,
• the hotel hallway on 2nd floor has a musty smell that should be rectified

2) In Room
• Top cover soiled
• No coffee or tea in room

3) In Restaurant
• Chairs soiled and should be cleaned
• Buffett , had brewed coffee a plus, individual separate jam & butter plates a nice touch, but no bakery or rolls other than toast, The omelet left much to be desired, and was not well prepared, also no chesses anywhere on the egg cooking station or buffet. The overall quality of the food has changed drastically since last visit, and can only listed at average at best.
• On separate occasion ordered onion soup that was flavored water with no onions and a piece of 1” processed cheese floating on a small piece of toast. It was however adjusted off the bill.
• The staff was great it is a big negative the food quality has dropped so far; perhaps it was being the off season in June.

Room Tip: Upper floors better

stayed 2 night dec 12.
first night at front very noisy from 3am with some sort of local radio outside broadcast claimed the hotel in the morning when i requested a room change.
room change granted BUT i clearly booked/required a double bed but had to push 2 singles together.
ditto when changing room, otherwise an extra payment of 500 baht/ £10 needed.no dice from me.
breakfast ok with little choice.
be warned NO SWIMMING POOL as shown on trip advisor ameneties main reason i booked.

cost 2240 baht for nights inc breakfast for TWIN room double 2800 baht
hotel later told me a double room at rack rate was only 1000 baht per night yet still wouldnt give me a double even though i had overpaid on internet booking via trip advisor partner !!
first time this happened in fairness, as internet normally best rates i find.

would try several other hotels before i would return here.

stayed with my thai girlfriend so there were no language hiccups, just fairly incalcitrant front of house staff.

Room Tip: rooms at rear quieter book direct with hotel to check better rate.

Poor quality room, very basic restaurant and very little help from staff. We stayed here because it was reasonably well ranked, and it looked like it would have been one of the best options in town, but still not very impressed.
