Built on the side of a cliff with stunning sea views from every room the top level is reception, then you have the main bar(with chairs and tables on a long balcony overlooking the sea and the activities pool level with stage) and main restaurant. Lifts then take you down past rooms (which are air conditioned and very clean with ensuite bath and shower and balcony with chairs and table and the sheets and towels are clean every two days and the rooms cleaned every day) to the quiet pool level. From the quiet pool an outside lift takes you to the activities pool level where there is also a stage for nightly performances and a Greek restaurant. A further outside lift takes you down again to the private beach with water sports and walks to shops and tavernas. There is also a daily boat if you fancy a sea trip. At reception level there is a disco till two in the morning and an exceptional Italian restaurant. You can visit the Greek and Italian restaurants once a week. The buffet style breakfast, lunch and dinner is very varied in the main restaurant. You can also lunch by the pool and there is another bar there. All the food and drink (wine, spirits and cocktails) are included in the price which is very reasonable. The staff are amazingly friendly and make you feel exceptionally at ease and very special.

Room Tip: Rooms in the hotel are near everything in the hotel. The bungalows require some uphill and downhill...

We booked as a large family group of 15 in 7 separate rooms. When we arrived late in the evening after 2 flights and feeling tired, there were only 4 rooms allocated and because the hotel was apparently full we had to make do with until the problem could be sorted so we all piled into the rooms and had to make our own sofa-beds up.The gentleman on duty was extremely unhelpful and said it wasn't his fault and he could do nothing about it. The hotel had put food out for our arrival in the restaurant which I thought was a nice touch , but the food was awful. It must have been there for hours because the sandwiches were curly and hard and swarming with flies. None of us could eat them. All in all, a bad start to our holiday.

The rooms are ok but very dated. They need upgrading although having spoken with other guests, they are a lot better than the bungalows.

Our rooms were sorted the next day and so we moved into the 7 rooms as originally booked. Some of us had fruit and wine delivered to our rooms which I assume was to make up for the first nights confusion so that was thoughtful and appreciated.

The views from our rooms were magnificent and the pools are good. The private beach is lovely too.

Entertainment was generally very poor but there were a couple of exceptions.

Some staff were ok but the majority were miserable and unhelpful and sometimes just rude. We felt that the hotel was in a 'winding down' period and really couldn't be bothered with the guests. We were subsequently informed that the hotel was closing on 16th October for the Winter which explained a lot.

The disco was a waste of time. The music was too quiet and the smell from the toilets made the whole place smell very bad.

The food was of an average quality but with too little variety and everything is overcooked. We were there 7 days and ate out several times. The Tavernas down the road were fabulous.

This was our first experience of an 'all inclusive' holiday and we will probably not do it again.

None of our group would recommend this hotel. It has the most magnificent views but you can get lots of those elsewhere in Corfu.

i share some of the other reviews re the rooms at the hotel. We had booked a bungalow, it was just a room with an overheating fridge, only one bedside table. One of the lampshades was broken on the reading lamps. The room was fine compared to the bathroom which was awful. There was black mildew around the bath, sink and toilet. Also along the tiles. A lot of it came off with a good clean. There was a lot of rust also in the bathrooms. They had tried regrouting the tiles, but spread all the grout over the tiles instead. The smell from the bathroom was not good.
The view from the room was very good, also along with the staff at the hotel..
The dining experience is something you get used to. The meals each day seem to be the same with just a few variations of what was left over the day before. Left overs from the day before also seemed to go in the salads the next day. The deserts were the same most days, they just changed the colour !!!!. Every time fish was cooked, it was really overcooked and tough. We realised after we got here that the hotel was to close for the winter 4 days after we left, and not everything that was advertised was available to use which i feel we should have been aware of at the time of booking.

Room Tip: probably come earlier on in the season to benefit from everything

Stayed in one of the bungalows at this hotel ..very disappointing no balcony and a very small window the room was very dark and depressing, bathroom was ok with a good shower. Shame no tea or coffee making facilities.
75 steps to climb from our room to main hotel .
Most staff ok some were grumpy and I agree they catered for he French more.
Hotel looked run down and needed a good clean,
rained through the ceilings and soaked the carpets in the hall ways.
Food ok plenty to choose but pleased we was only a week as it always seemed the same every night.
If you like to get out and about like us you will be threaders as no where to walk to as the hotel is on a cliff side .Bus was easy to use and only about 4 euros for the two of us to get to Corfu town
The hotel did have some nice areas and views to die for.
Drinks we found the coke to be flat all the time and limited cocktails which you could only get after five from the main bar.
Must admit a disappointing hotel and would not recommend the bungalows very depressing.

we arrived at this hotel on the 23rd of september and thought what a lovely hotel the outside is 4* the reception area 3* the view brilliant then you go to your room and they are 2* we where on the 5th floor and the carpet in the corrider was wet from where the ceilings were leaking the flies on the wall in the corrider was disgraceful the floor had to be fumigated while we where there not acceptable and it still did not kill the flies the food in the resturant was nasty the same food everyday had to live on chips for two weeks as they were the only thing edible as for the entertainment you had to be french to understand it and the entertainment staff ignored you if you were english this hotel needs to be refurbished and the entertainment needs to cater for every nationality not just the french. What a letdown this holiday was spent all year saving for this holiday might just as well thrown my money down the drain only good thing about the hotel was the people we met there if it was not for them think we would have gone mad

Just returned from an all-inclusive holiday at the Nisaki Sunshine Hotel and Spa and we are very happy to have booked there. The hotel is large but never felt crowded. The first thing to say is that the views from our room (we had a room on floor 6 of the main hotel) and sun terrace (second highest floor) is the most spectacular we have experienced. You have a 180 degree view from the Albanian Hills on the left across the bay to Corfu Town in the middle (about 5 miles away) and the rest of the Corfu hills on the right. There were always cruise liners, ferries, private yachts and fishing craft coming and going to provide variety

Managers through to bar staff, chamber maids and reception staff were polite and professional to us at all times and worked very hard to cater for such a diverse variety of customers. Guests staying were mostly French with British, Germans and others. There are comments above that the animation team is geared towards the French. This is true but they are multi-lingual and if you don’t know what they are saying – just ask!

There is a help yourself restaurant with plenty of variety for breakfast, lunch and dinner and is of good quality overall. The restaurant and bar staff work particularly hard to keep tables clear of any crockery and glasses.

Italian (called ‘Mama Mia’) or Greek themed restaurants are available for evening dinner. Mama Mia is situated above the hotel and is a great experience. On warm nights, the panoramic views high over the bay to Corfu Town as the sun set were fantastic. Starters are self service but the main course is waiter served. The Italian and Greek restaurants are free and offer good quality food. Compared with what a leading UK tour operator is charging for half board and Mediterranean B&B holidays, this is exceptional value.

This was just our experience but I am sure that others are expecting top quality cuts of steak or fish. If you want that type of food, then paying about twice as much at another hotel or going out to local tavernas and paying for your food might be best.

The room was large and did the job for us. There was plenty of hot water at key times of the morning and evenings. Not cold as at some other hotels.

As the hotel is built into a cliff, there are some steps to use. There are three sets of lifts taking you down from the reception (floor 1) down to the beach (below floor 8). The road and steps from the hotel up to the main gate are quite steep and although most people seemed to cope with this, if you have difficulty walking, you might want to consider another hotel. There are wasps. As some people are nervous of wasps, this might be an issue. They are mostly quite slow and drowsy and if you wave your hand at them a few times, they normally fly off.

Overall, a great holiday with plenty of places to see on the island and take photographs of to keep as memories. Catch local buses from bus stop about 70 yds from main gate. Corfu Town 2.20 euros each way and Kassiopi 1.60 euros each way.

Enjoying a pre-dinner drink on the high sun terrace before dinner at sunset was a good start to the evening and for us remains a special memory

Janet and Chris

Just arrived back from a weeks holiday at the Sunshine, The hotel is far from a 4 star hotel I would say a 2 star. So were do I start, my friend and I arrive late and we shown to our bungalow(which was just a room at the end of a block) we asked for a twin room but we got a double room so we had to make the seatee into another bed. they would not move us because they said thy were full.

The room itself was small and not very clean at all, the bathroom was dirty and very smelly.

The food was not very good at all and the drinks l think were watered down. The only time we had a good meal was when we went into Corfu Town.

The only good things about the hotel was the views and the swimming pools. The staff not very friendly not unless you were French.

Would not recommend this hotel
