We only had a week at this lovely hotel, but it was one filled with positive experiences and happy memories were made. The staff and entertainment team ensured that you had a relaxing yet fun time, always up to you what you chose to take part in during the day and evening, but there was plenty of choice.
Most all inclusive holidays we have been on, are limited in choice when it comes to food, but this was very much not the case here, wonderful freshly prepared varied foods available daily. Only small disappointment was not being able to visit the greek taverna restaurant due to there only being limited numbers offered per night to guests. I would suggest that this is priority given to those staying only a week, so as to spread out the opportunities. Our only word of caution would be around the selection of your room location. We were in the 'greek village' which are bungalows in the complex, but seperate from the hotel. In order to get to these, you had to negotiate cobbled multi level steps, some of which were in need of some TLC, and therefore a little treacherous in places. I would strongly advise anyone who is not sure footed or perhaps elderly/less mobile to NOT book these garden rooms. That being said, we still had a wonderful holiday and this is somewhere I would recommend and even stay again.

Just got back on Monday evening after a great week in the Sunshine. As soon as we got off the coach there was someone waiting to take our cases to our rooms, and we were given a refreshing drink of orange. The only disappointment was my room, it was in what they call their bungalows but when i opened the door there was a horrible smell from the room and the curtains were dirty. I went to reception to complain and by the time I was back from reception the room had been freshened up and the curtains changed.
Things really looked up from there though, the restaurant was lovely and the food was exceptional. The staff were very friendly, but by far the best thing was the animation team, who just made the holiday, they are a credit to the place. It was great the way that they encouraged every nationallity to get involved in the activities and language was not a barrier at all. So thank your to Igor, Dee, Julien, Sylvie, Ava and all the others.
The all inclusive package was excellent and you did not have to wear those horrible wrist bands that you do at other places. The rooms were cleaned and fresh towels every day and towels were availble at the pool.

Myself and my wife travelled here for a Summer Break in June 2010.
I will rate in various areas:-

Check-in
Fast and efficient. No porter available on arrival for our luggage though. No map of complex or info given regarding breakfast/dinner/facilities etc...

Room
VEERRRYYY basic! I know Greek 4 stars generally do not equate to Spanish etc resort 4 stars but room did have very basic feel. Only 2x enlist TV stations. Other 22 were French or German or Greek.
Plus points.....we settled into our room very well and it did feel comfortable.

Room Air-Con
Room exceptionally hot on arrival. Switched on air con for rest of day to return to very hot room again! Informed reception who had rectified very quickly.

Beds
Myself and my wife do like firm beds but the beds here were exceptionally firm! Only one pillow provided. Informed reception and took 2 days to receive extra pillows! (Had to ask twice). I have neck problems but slept ok!Back was always very stiff in morning.

Breakfast
Good selection- usual hotel selection

Lunch
Nice selection.... Fish pasta salad

Dinner
Excellent selection.....did start to feel repetitive after 3 days though.

Greek Restaurant
Fantasic meal!! Good dinner. Yopu can eat hear 1 night every week.

Pool
One of the nicest pools we have ever seem on our travels. Very clean lots of room.Never any problems with sun loungers etc...

Spa
If you have the money definatly go!! €250 For couples treatment including sauna and hydro bath for 1 hour. 2x 1.5 hour full body massages and 2x 1 hour facials. Very nice treat!!!

Bar
Good selection of local drinks always available.

ALL INCLUSIVE
Good option as whole resort is all inclusive! Does make very impersonal service though but that is usual for all inclusive resorts.

All in all.... Very good relaxing stay... Room could be better and little bit more variety with dinner but excellent hotel.

Just got back from a week at Sunshine Vacation Club.

Check in - No problem at all, friendly obliging staff. We arrived around 12pm. There were some plates made up with cheese, ham, bread salad and crisps in case were hungry. We were given a couple of bottles of water and a welcome drink. The best thing about the late check in was that the disco bar was open until 2am and the drinks were all inclusive - Just what you need after a long journey!

Rooms - We had 2 triple rooms which had a large double bed and a single bed. We were fortunate enough to have a room in the main hotel which overlooked the sea. It really was a fantastic view and you could see all the coast line and across to Albania. Both rooms had bath and shower, air con and a safety deposit box (free of charge). I think that the rooms in the bungalows would have had quite a bit of a walk up and down steps to get to and from the main hotel facilities.

Food - There are 3 restaurants - main buffet, Greek Taverna and Italian. You need to book the Greek and the Italian the day before but we were quite happy with the main restaurant. Breakfast - Usual stuff including sausages and bacon on some days. Only one toaster but there isn't anything you need to rush for so waiting isn't really a problem. Lunch / Dinner - Buffet with a good variety and a nice selection of salads. A lot of the meat and fish items were being cooked in front of you so the food was always nice and hot and always fresh. The Taverna offered a smaller selection which was usually mini kebabs on skewers, chops and pitta bread or pizza. Always plenty of fruit and salad available. There are dispensers in the dining rooms so you can help yourself to drinks such as wine, beer and soft drinks.

Bars - There are 3 bars. The main hotel bar which is open all day until about 1am, the pool bar is open until about 11pm and the disco bar opens from 11pm (ish) until 2am. The staff are very attentive and the drinks are good (generous measures and not watered down). All the usual drinks are included along with a few cocktails.

Entertainment - Usual stuff but also activities such as archery and rifle range for adults (it's quite a walk so make sure you take a drink if you are joining in). The animation team were really good and worked hard to make sure everyone had a good time. They were not pushy and had some quite unusual and entertaining games. The evening shows were good and usually ended up with the audience joining in with the club dance and 'Opa - Opa'. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Saturday is the entertainers day off so it is quite quiet apart from live music in the Lobby Bar in the evening. There is an excellent Mini-Club for small children but I had teenagers and they were quite happy to join in with the entertainers who very patient and tolerent with them.

There are 2 pools - The main pool at the bottom of the Hotel and another relax pool half way up. There are plenty of sunloungers and beach towels are provided free of charge and are available for collection between 10-12 and 4-6 every day (occasionally they run out but normally they have plenty). The Beach is a bit pebbley but you can swim in the sea if you want to.

The staff were excellent and very obliging. The Chef was able to accomodate one of our group who had a wheat allergy and was able to cook one of our own wheat free pizza bases. The hotel was kept very clean and the staff are constantly moving glasses, plates etc which are finished with. One day some of our group wanted to watch motor racing so the hotel manager arranged for the projector to be put on in the conference room. There were lots of other small things that the staff did to be helpful and it was really nice. Every member of staff was polite and courteous and had excellent manners and would do things such as hold doors open.

They have a computer room 12 mins - 1 euro, but if you sit on the leather chairs in the reception area you can use an ipod or a laptop and get wi-fi free of charge.

During our stay it was my birthday and the reception team put a basket of fruit and chocolate in room along with a bottle of wine and they also sent me a letter wishing me a happy birthday.

The hotel is quite isolated and there are only a couple of shops and bars nearby but we didn't want to leave the hotel so we weren't bothered.

We all had a lovely holiday and would definately go back to Sunshine Vacation Club. It was a really relaxing holiday and the hotel and staff made it really special.

My wife and I have just returned from a week at the Sunshine Corfu where we stayed with our 3 year old son.

The hotel is built into a hillside and has lots of different levels. The main building contains most of the rooms along with the restaurant, main bar, snack bar, 2 swimming pools, gym, spa, entertainment area and pebble beach. There are further rooms in 2-storey bungalows situated arond 100 metres from the main building. As far as I could make out, all the rooms are facing towards the sea and have excellent views.

When we first arrived we were given a room in the 'Greek Village' bungalows, which are fairly pleasant with all having a small balcony. The bungalows are not that far from the main builiding, but as most of the way we were climbing steps we were knackered by the time we reached our room! Once there we didn't want to go out as we dreaded the long walk to get back to the main building. It was especially hard as we had our sons buggy and changing bag to carry wherever we went.

We didn't think we could manage a week in the bungalows so we spoke to the hotel manager Lesley (a Brit), who arranged to put us in the main building instead. What a difference that made! The rooms in the main building are excellent; really light and airy with a massive balcony (the word 'balcony' doesn't quite do it justice, it's more of a terrace). We had excellent views of the sea, mountains and coast, as well as being able to see both swimming pools and the beach.

The food in the restaurants was the standard generic international hotel cuisine which was OK, but nothing special. We would have preferred some more local dishes rather than stuff like salad, chips, pasta and pizza. It reminded me of school dinners (which at my old school wasn't always a bad thing). After eating there a few days we were bored with the same menu. There are some very nice local tavernas serving great authentic Greek food (I highly recommend the 'Eucalyptus Tree' at Agios Stefanos which is right on the beach and has great food). However, eating out in Nissaki can be quite expensive and we didn't make it a regular occurence.

There is a stage constructed at one of the terraces near the pool and every evening there would be a kids show, with the hotels very own mascot 'Funny the Monkey'. Our son loved this part of every day and really grew fond of Funny. My only gripe is that the shows were too short (only around 20-30 mins) and Funny didn't stick around long enough. After the kids show there was some entertainment for adults with various themes; Greek Night, Live Music, Musicals etc. Some of the shows were performed the hotels own entertainment crew, and some were doen by specialist entertainers. The quality of the shows varied, and some wer absolutley dire (the hotel staffs re-imagining of We Will Rock You springs to mind). Nonetheless all shows were entertaining (for very different reasons) and we appreciated have the option every night.

There are lots of different options available at the onsite Spa, but you have to pay extra to use it. I treated my wife to a facial (70EUR), and she really enjoyed it. The treatment was supposed to last only an hour but they threw in use of the jacuzzi and gave a head/shoulder/arm massage as well and she ended up staying for 2.5 hours. She was glowing by the time she came back!

During our stay there were very few British guests, with mainly German, French and some Dutch. We did notice that many of the guests were of a more mature calibre, and as a young family we were very much in the minority. This wasn't a problem for us as most guests were very friendly.

The hotel itself could do with some modernising as some of the areas felt a little dated and old-fashioned. However, the location, facilities, entertainment and friendly staff more than made up for any shortcomings in decor.

As Nissaki is quite remote we hired a car for the week and made full use to explore the island. There are many busy resorts closeby like Kassiopi and Ipsos. We also drove almost up to the top of Mountain Pandokrator (the highest on the island). It's quite an experience taking a car up the narrow, twisty roads, and thoroughly enjoyable.

All-in-all we had a very pleasant and relaxing stay., and would definately go back again.
