“Dimitri & staff of the Olive Garden”
Reviewed 24 August 2013

We returned from our holiday in Tsilivi on Thursday having spent 2 weeks in resort. Spiros and his staff and especially Dimitri and staff of the Hotels Restaurant The Olive Garden are exceptional hosts/staff. The food was always excellent whether we chose the buffet for half board or the restaurant. Spiros forgive me for saying that the accommodation was not what we expected and this in part is also down to our travel agent Travel Republic. When I saw this holiday offered I called them to check that the apartment was 2 bedroomed and they confirmed that is was. When we got to our room what is really was/is, is a 1 bedroom with the usual sofa beds removed from the living area and replaced with proper beds. This meant the children sleeping under the aircon unit all night and having to sit on the beds in the evening when we were showering and getting changed. We did complain but were told that all the rooms were the same. There were a lot of Eastern Europeans staying too but we didn't find that too much bother. The rest of the Hotel is well maintained and Spiros keeps it spic and span. The resort itself is lovely. We were able to hire a reasonable car for 40euros a day and drove round some of the other resorts and half a day driving across the mountains to beaches and caves on the far side of the island as the roads are great. If you are looking for transfers from the airport use Zante Cars, they have a web site and you can book online. Fares are a standard price to all the resorts and it cost 20 euros to tsilivi. The local beach we thought was the best out of laganas, alykes and others.

I have just returned with my family from our 4th visit to this hotel. We loved it so much on our previous visits the way that Spiros, Katerina and their staff looked after us and the kids. This was the reason why my wife and I choose to make this the venue for our wedding Katerina and Claire organised the whole thing. All I can say is a big thank you to you all as we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day my wife looked stunning flower were just as were imagined the food was fantastic and the kids ending up in the children's pool after the ceremony was a perfect end to a fun filled day. I would have said that it would have been hard to top that but the rest of the holiday wasn't far short of that especially that song from a great guy we met out there BOMBA ROCK. So again thank you to Katerina and Claire for arranging it all Spiros and Yanni for the all round entertainment Babis and Angelica for the wonderful food. See you all next year for our 1st anniversary.

This is our 2nd time at this Hotel and as last year we had a lovely time. Especially as we got married this time in Tsilivi, we was made welcome from the time we arrived to the sad day we had to go home. Anything we needed Katerina or Claire on reception would assist with, nothing was to much of a bother. Spiros and Yannis in the bar are great and are always the last ones standing!!! 26 of us stayed this time and everyone said what a lovely hotel this was. All the rooms are big and cleaned everyday. The pool area is clean and we could always get a sun bed whatever time of the day. On our wedding night they decorated our room with flower petals on our bed which was a lovely thought. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. The location of the hotel is great 5 minute walk to the beach. The bars and restaurants are on the main strip are 2 minutes away. We will definitely be coming back.

Spiros in the hotel and his brother in the olive garden provide a clean and enjoyable environment. great food and great drinks run by a great family.

I have now been with friends family and this year was my little boys 1st holiday they went out of there way to give us everything as they always do. i would recommend the hotel and there villa villa Zamora.

the rooms are a good standard and clean the pool is spotless and the grounds are in a safe and clean condition.

cant wait to go back and see our greek friends 5* as always nothing is to much bother.

Room Tip: all the rooms are good if you find there is a problem just ask reception and they will go out of the...

My partner and I have recently arrived home from a fabulous holiday and great experience at the Plaza Pallas. A friend recommended the hotel to us as she had stayed there on numerous occasions as had many people we met there. We were not disappointed. Spiros and his wife Katerina were so welcoming and extremely friendly. Katerina and the receptionist Claire were very accommodating as any requests we made were met with a smile and nothing was too much trouble.
We stayed in one of the suites which was lovely. It was spacious, had a large balcony and provided a wonderful view. The hotel was exceptionally clean, as was the pool and there were always sunbeds available.
The bar, staffed by Spiros and Yannis, was always lively, even at 1am when we arrived back at the hotel. Both had a great sense of humour and always made us feel welcome. That bar never seemed to close!! When we were leaving at 3am they took time out to see us off.
We eat out each night at different restaurants, leaving the Olive Garden, which belonged to the hotel, until the last night. If only we had known how good the cuisine was we would have eaten there every night. We were amazed by the generosity and kindness of the management and how hard working all of the staff were. Will we return to this hotel? Most certainly yes.

Tony and Helen, Liverpool.

Room Tip: We stayed in a suite but people we spoke to who stayed in other types of accommodation found them co...
