Stayed in a traditional style villa offering a comfortable and relaxing environment to enjoy our family holiday. Family friendly and all staff very helpful and pleasant. The accommodation is exceptionally clean, tidy and picturesque.

Great menu choice for adults and children, good quality freshly cooked at great prices.

A short walk to the nearest small mini market and a 15 minute walk to the beach.

Simply the most perfect honeymoon in the most wonderful place, amazing food, clean impeccable apartments and a warm welcome from Anastasia and her team, especially Katarina! Quiet, relaxing and away from it all in the rural countryside, yet only a stones throw from local beaches. Immaculate and well-tended gardens added to the overall atmosphere. Having worked in tourism in the past, I can safely say that this is one of the nicest mini-resorts I have come across. The personal service and warm welcome here were the added wow factor and icing on the cake. We will return one day!!! PS Sorry about exploding the inflatable lounger in the pool during a moment of childish excitement!

Room Tip: Larger villas for families, small villas at rear more secluded for couples.

Words can not explain how perfect Paliokaliva Village is. From the moment we got out of the taxi we were in our own little paradise. Anastasia and her team all need to give themselves a very well deserved pat on the back, they should be very very proud of the haven they have created. The grounds of the village are beautiful with lovely little touches everywhere, from little gnomes hiding around trees to make you smile to tealight lanterns hanging in trees to light your way home, it's very clear Anastasia has put a lot of thought and love into her village. Our home for the week was beautifully and traditionally decorated, again with lovely touches like freshly picked vases of jasmine in our room. The pool area was clean with plenty of space for lounging around the pool with the pool bar/restaurant on hand to refresh us when we we too hot or hungry! We tried breakfast, lunch and dinner at the pool bar/restaurant and every meal was very well presented, reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. The restaurant over the road is also well worth a visit too, very tasty traditional Greek food, again reasonably priced. All in all, our stay at Paliokaliva was perfect and like I said, words can not do justice to this lovely place.

I doubted a little how to rate this hotel and choose #very good#, although it was very good in some points and average in some others. But because the buildings, the garden and the furniture look so nice and make such a good impression, ok, let it be #very good# :-)
We had 3 big problems with our house. The bed (matrass) was very hard and probably very old, wee felt every rib in it (why did a matrass had ribs anyway!???!) It really hearted our backs and tights, we woke up with bad back ache every morning. We complained on the 3rd day and a new matrass was not an option, we got a blanket on top of the matrass to make it a little softer. It helped only very little, which was a shame, you want to relax on your holiday and not wake up with pain.
The second problem was, that we didn't have the possibility to take a normal shower in neither of our 2 bathrooms! They only had hand-held showers there..... It was not possible to hang them on the wall and have a normal shower. Very annoying.
The third problem for us was the terrible stairs to the first floor. It is half-broken in the middle, I suppose, so every time someone took the stairs down or up it made unbelievable noise. We had our 4 months old baby with us, sleeping in our room in the 1st floor, and we tried not to make too much noise once he was asleep, but the stairs was just terrible! Everyone who has a bad sleeping baby will understand our frustration, I am sure.
The grounds are very nice! The furniture also! And the rooms are kept so unbelievably clean! The pool is small, but never crowdy (probably because it is very cold). And the staff is very friendly. You need a car, when staying there, for sure.
So, it's a nice hotel, just make sure you don't get our villa! It's number 109

Room Tip: Avoid room 109 with very bad matrass and only hand-held shower!!!

2nd visit for my family. Cannot rate Anastacia's Paliokaliva Village high enough. Attention to detail and true personal service with some great modifications from last year. The place isn't huge and overpowering, close enough to, yet far enough away from the more touristy town. The villa's and grounds are beautiful and a real credit to all who work here. We always said that we'd only ever visit a holiday destination twice as there are too many places to stick to one alone BUT, looking forward to our 3rd visit already.

PLACE = GREAT
FOOD = GREAT
WEATHER = GREAT

Staff treated our 3 kids (9, 6 & 3) like stars and made us feel instrantly welcome.

Many thanks Team Paliokaliva, Neil & Louise

If you are looking for a place that will allow you to "get away from it all", but still stay close to things you like (a snack by the pool if you wake up at noon, favourite websites to your morning coffee, a walk to the beach, an occasional chat that inspires you to do something different), don't look any further. You have just found it. The villas are amazing, clean, and very nicely decorated in a mixed modern+traditional greek style (cleaning service daily). The whole area is full of green, with candles lighted here and there in the evening, and you can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere on a little veranda (each villa has one). The pool is not huge, but large enough to accommodate a few for a swim. The pool bar offers fresh snacks during the day (try the tuna salad), and a bigger menu for dinner. There is also a nice selection of wines. There is a separate pool for children, and the whole pool/bar area is very nicely arranged (you can enjoy some privacy even if there are quite a few people around). A taverna just across the road offers some more good food (try the grilled octopus). Finally, the staff are just fantastic - they are always there to help, whether you need advice on which part of the island to go, need help to hire a car, get a taxi to the airport, etc. And just simply they are great people (special thanks to Anastasia and Catarina, we absolutely enjoyed our stay!).

Room Tip: If you enjoy space, take a one bedroom villa for a couple (rather than a studio). The bedroom is a m...
