“Great stay as been before but not good food”
Reviewed 24 August 2014

We went on 12th August to this hotel and have been this time last year. The reason we came back was that we couldn't fault anything. This time was different. On arrival we were told we were on the ground floor. I wasn't keen but when we went to our room it was a sea view. Beautiful The following day was our first day and we saw a difference on the food. It was very repetitive from last year and all catered for foreigners. We ate out lots as we were fed up by the end. Last year was fantastic with lots of choice. This year completely different everything in sauces and desserts all jellies and blamanch. The place were full this year of Russians who took over everything. The entertainment team were fantastic and my 8 year old daughter loved them. Always a great laugh. The beach is fab and the resort is fantastic. The only thing g was with the room was if you didn't have a shower before 6 it was freezing. Drinks fantastic as always. We won't be back to this hotel because of the food as it cost us 1000 more than last year expecting the same quality but unfortunately it wasn't. We will come back to tsilivi as we love it and my husband has been here 5 times. We did captain spriro boat trip which is fantastic. 40 euro each for adults and 20 for kids. The tsilivi water park is a great day out 10 mins walk from hotel. Wine and Roses is a great place to eat and relax and the majestic also us good value for money . kids especially will love it as desserts to due for. Also the bakery at the top of the road is a real treat. Fantastic hotel but please don't expect great food. I know as we have been here twice.

Third visit to Tsilivi. Best hotel by far. Would go again. On beach (sandy beach). Ate at hotel everyday, breakfast, lunch and dinner with nibbles inbetween from pool bar. Four entertainers great singers. Just lacked local greek entertainment. Great for pool, beach and less than 5 mins turn left for Tsilivi, right for planos so loads of choice cocktail bars and shopping. Used these shops to book excursions - definitely do cruise round island and waterpark ( half the price at shops nearby but same pick up point as travel agents days). Make sure you use higher sun factor very hot!

Room Tip: Said partial sea view, room we had front block full see view!

stayed at this hotel end of july with my husband, first time in greece. hotel basic, food was good but disapointed at the lack of anti-bac wash before entering the dining room, especially at a family hotel.ordered a packed lunch for a day trip and it was a laugh, you are better buying from the cafe opposite.staff are very friendly and the entertainment staff were brilliant for the kids. not a lot of entertainment on in the area, very quiet, again a family hotel. stacey our rep very friendly and helpful. also air conditioning is not free as it says in the brochure, a lot of people were complaining bout this.no fresh orange or fresh fruit available considering fruit growing on trees everywhere!!!! also white wine was warm and the red wine was watered down. all in all a lovely place, friendly people but would not come here again.

Room Tip: all rooms are okay

Location fantastic, nice pool, nice rooms, not great food, and awful drinks!

At a push this hotel is a 3* but rooms have been renovated and look very nice, rest of the hotel has not however.

The reception staff we're wonderful and very helpful, the bars and restaurant staff too busy to talk to anyone.

Hotel of mixed nationalities and they have tried to cover food for everyone, but it was very samey and hard to put a meal together. My other half lived on chips from the restaurant. Luckily we had enough money to eat and drink out for the majority of the holiday, but in the hotels defence we are fussy eaters.

All inclusive drinks and cheap coke, lemonade, orangeade etc. and do not taste nice. Lager tasted watered down and spirits used for cocktails not nice.

However entertainment team do try very hard to please everyone, and rooms are spacious and cleaned often. The outdoor bar is right on the beach with beautiful views and hotel location is fantastic. Only 5 mins walk to tsilivi with bars and restaurants.

Am 50/50 with reviewing this hotel, I can't really say it's was good, but I can't say it was bad either. My mum was next door at the Zante Maris hotel which was a little more expensive, and we spent more time there. Food and drink was quality, staff very attentive, and it just looks much nicer on the eye. Would not return to tsilivi beach hotel however still had a good holiday in Tsilivi.

A bit late for review, we return from tsilivi beach on the 20th July after a 2 week stay and can say with me my husband and our 2 children 4 and 9 weeks old we had an excellent time - sad too leave :(

I was very reluctant on going to this hotel after reading all the reviews, thinking what have i let us in for, and can say they are all rubbish or snobs. Dont get me wrong i'm a lil fussy as like the best for my children and some saying there were bgs etc i never saw one?!

1: - we arrived at the hotel at 9;45pm knowing the restaurant would be closed we thought we would have to venture for food - wrong they stayed open knowing off our arrival :) the receptionist advised us to go eat and then come back and check in, so we did. was only a few items of choice but then was at the end of the evening. once we returned to reception we was quickly checked in and then we were shown to our room and was shown how to work air-con etc.

2:- day 2 we had a leaky toilet, we reported again on day 3 and was promptly fixed with no further problems.

3:- Our room was vary spacious with enough room for the pull out bed and a travel cot, we also had a fab view of the pool and sea :) rooms were cleaned every day and bedding and towels were changed every 3rd day, excellent maid service

4: the pool area was lovely, only issue i have is by the shallow end where its mainly for the little ones, you have people with no children or disabilities taking loungers and not even going in the pool whilst there were plenty of loungers elsewhere.. also some mornings had to be up early to put towels out by the shallow end as wouldn't get a place and with a 4 year old we need to be in constant eyes view.

5: - The restaurant had a good choice for adults but i think they should have more selection for children, as my fussy 4 year old would only eat chips, the snack bar is only toasted sandwiches and ice-cream but my daughter ate those so cant be that bad, we even had them and yes a little dry but still quite nice... The bar was very good, the bar man was always quick in getting your order, we lived on coke and cocktails, i would say the alcohol is NOT water down as i was at the bar several times where they opened new bottles and you can here the seal break.

6: we only went to the beach on one occasion as my daughter doesn't like the water but found it very clean, we paid 6 euros for 2 loungers and a parasol and thought was very reasonable as the beach is NOT part of the hotel.

7: Thee entertainment team Amy, Ashlea, Luke and James were fantastic, my little girl loved Amy and Ashleigh she said they were her girls lol, my lil girl is very shy and they managed to get her up and join in with the kids disco and games, they have a day off on Tuesdays but then were all entitled to a day off... they put on some fantastic shows and entertainment.

8; For shopping there is a lil shop 12 minutes up the road and tsilivi town is about 15-20 minute walks.

9: Stacey our First Choice holiday rep, was fantastic, gave us info when asked, and she went out of her way to get my lil girl a kids club shirt and bottle whilst our hotel had no kids club :)
we booked the castaway pirate trip which was fantastic my lil girl loved it, and was good even carry our 9 week old, the only thing when arriving at the port there is a very steep hill to walk down which is fine if you take it slow, they offer a lift for people who don't want to venture it back up. On the port there is a caravan/cafe selling sandwiches and drinks etc all reasonably priced. the guys on the boat were very good, lifting the children on and off and helping others that needed it.

10: If looking to take kids somewhere would recommend mollys crazy golf, we ended up here twice. we did try bowling which was in tsilivi town but were closed at the time, they open at 5pm we went at lunch :(

11; YES i would definitely go back here :) :) :)

Just returned from a great two weeks here with the hubby and 10yr old daughter. Nothing to complain about at all but be aware air conditioning is charged on top at 5euros per night and with a two week hol was quite a chunk out of our spending money . Our room was basic and cleaned everyday with fresh towels apart from on a Sunday . And would defiantly return. The entertainment staff, Luke, Jimbo, Ash and Amy fantastic and got everyone involved. Location was great right on the beach . Don't want to go on but defiantly would recommend. We booked a boat trip to the shipwreck and would highly recommend the Levante one with captain Spiros as he's the first boat on there (as leaving were at least ten others on and more arriving) He lets the kids drive the boat and gets right into the cave. Tsivilli we found a beautiful place with people so friendly . We went to a Greek night at
Kaukos Resturant and had amazing night too. Like I said would stay again .

After reading the reviews on the hotel since being back in the UK, I have to say I do not feel my family and I have been to the same place! We had 11 brilliant days at the Tsilivi Beach Hotel, complete relaxation, laughter and great memories. The location of the hotel is second to none, take a stroll either to the pool or to the golden sands. An excellent family orientated hotel with a superb swimming pool for swimming or chilling out on lie-low. A lovely atmosphere within the hotel with a first class entertainment team (Luke, James, Ashleigh and Ami) these guys work so hard and are a very talented group of people. They genuinely care about the guests and are great with the children. My daughters loved the children's disco! Evening entertainment events were good - finished by 11.00. No noise could be heard, so did not make the children.

The food was awesome - the choices were amazing, something for everybody, the restaurant and bar staff always courteous and polite. Guests were polite to one another and we always got a table at meal times despite having 6 members in our party. Reception staff were most helpful and cheerful. The accommodation was clean and our room was spacious with tea making facilities (we had to request this). There were always sun loungers available - we made sure our towels were out by 7.45 (there is a culture of this at the hotel). As a minor point for development, I would have liked to have seen a larger playground for the children with equipment in better condition. When showering after 6.00 pm in the evening the water was not as hot as it could be - obviously this was when demand was at its highest.

I would have no hesitation about returning to this hotel - we all thought it was fantastic and worth every penny. Thank-you to all the staff at the Tsilivi Beach Hotel!
