We stayed here in August 2011 for a week. We arrived during the night and had to wake the night receptionist from his slumber. We had to pay extra for air-conditioning and a safe within the rooms of which were intimitant and could only be put on when the magnetic key was in the room (unable to cool the room whilst out). This was pricey. It was a long walk away from the main strip. Breakfast was stale and a continental buffet style. Our room was located right outside reception so we could hear everything and also people eating breakfast. Staff were ok but sometimes ignored us. Room was fairly clean and towels were changed every other day. Sheets didn't seem to have been changed the whole time we were there, just made up each day. The only bonus to this hotel was the decent pool which is open to the public so can be crowded at times. I wouldn't really recommend this but it was ok.

We went to the petros in early september, my self and my girlfriend (20+19). We knew that it was a 3 * and that is what you get, it is basic but nice. The rooms were clean and were comfortable, but there wasnt many facilities in the room and then you had to pay for them ~( apart from the greek TV). We read the reviews before we went on holiday and most of the reviews are aqurate in relation to the bed the were quite hard but they were managable to sleep in. All the staff were very friendly and always smiling no matter what time of the day it is. The breakfast was what it says in the broucher which is continental.( Fruit, cereal and bread)
The location of the hotel was very good out of the waay but was close enough to get to all the pubs and reatraunts.
There are alot of great places to eat we were staying for a week and we went to a different place each night and we never had one bad or tasteless meal( love the greek food).
One attration that i would recomend would be the levante boat trip, it was 40€ each which seems a lot of money but is worth every cent captain spiros is fantastic with every one, all the ladies and kids get to have a go at driving the boat, there is two trips you can go on one in the morning to the ship wreck or turtle spotting on the afternoon we went to the latter, a must go on atrattion and the turtles were ace :).
all in all the hotel and the holiday was good mabye not visit the hotel again but deffinatally tsivilli.

It was the week of our Sapphire wedding anniversary in late September when we stayed @ the Petros in Tsilivi. We had booked through Thomas Cook and their grading of 'B Class' didn't really help much, so we assumed that it was the equivalent of a 3 star rating. That's what it turned out to be!
The hotel is set at one end of the main road into Tsilivi - the town is less than 10 minutes' walk and the excellent beach about 15 minutes away. Our room was quite large with a balcony overlooking the pool. Rooms 251 - 261 (odd numbers) should be good. Unfortunately there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room; also, whilst correctly stating that there was a tv in the room it was only showing broadcasts in Greek...not one english speaking channel. The lighting took a long time to get to full brightness and it was generally difficult to find enough illumination by which to read comfortably. There were a fridge, a safe and air conditioning but the extra charge that they wanted was exhorbitant.. 20 euros for the use of a fridge for one week? I don't think so! Hair dryers available for no charge, by arrangement with the reception desk.
Sandra ruled the roost! She was great - multi lingual and a good sport. Obviously a 'people person' and ideal for her summer role as manager. I understand that she teaches english when the hotel and tourist industry closes down during the winter months. Lucky students!
Breakfast was basic continental style and Dimi made sure that nothing ran out. Stefanos in the pool bar had an interesting sense of humour. The bar snacks were excellent - try the omlettes & chips. The pool was kept very clean, as were the rooms.
The close proximity to the road and the heavy early morning traffic (dust cart at about 5 a.m.!) could be a problem for light sleepers.
We were staying for a week on B&B basis and there are masses of places to eat in town. I suspect you could dine at a different eatery every night for a month and not duplicate. Try Apollon, which is one of the first you encounter, or Sweet Revenge - which is on the other side of town and is owned & run by Margaret from Melbourne. The title might give you a clue as to how & why she started the business 13 years ago! She is no longer married! The food is generally good and not too expensive, but these two stood out for us.
Overall we felt that the hotel gave good value for money and the staff were great!

Room Tip: Even numbered rooms overlook the scrubland at the back. Try for odd numbers 251 - 261, overlook the...

we returned fron two week break at the beginning of september. The hotel rooms were clean and very comfortable. Clean towels and bedding regularly changed. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful particularly Sandra on reception and Dimi who kept our room very clean. we were given a more than adequate pre packed breakfast when we went on a day tour to kefalonia.breakfasts at the hotel were continental and included fruit, yoghurt ,bread ,toasts as well as boiled eggs, cereals and juice, tea and coffee as well as cake. Early wake up calls were no problem and laundry service was also excellent at reasonable cost 12 euros. The pool was clean and although well used it was never crowded or too noisy, it was a very relaxing holiday with food and drink readily available from the poolside bar. It was a ten to fifteen minute slow walk into tsilivi centre and some good restaurants en route. The Family restaurant in particula rserved very good food consistently. This was our sixth visit to tsilivi over the past ten years and this was without doubt the best accomodation and value for money holiday.

Room Tip: we stayed in room 256 with views over woods at the back of the hotel which was nice and also quiet r...

I recently stayed at the Petros Hotel and like a lot of others on this site were slightly concerned due to some poor reviews. Before I left I emailed the hotel to request a pool view and Sandra emailed straight back and arranged it for us. The room was a good size and very clean, yes the beds are a bit hard but you kind of expect that. Breakfast is minimal and not worth getting up for especially but it will keep you going until lunch if need be and the snack bar does a cooked breakfast for 4 euros. The satff are all lovely and friendly.

It is a short walk from the hotel to the town but this means at night it is nice and quiet and we didnt mind the walk home from a night out at all. Tsilivi itself has plenty of choice of restaurants and bars and varies from quiet little tavernas to places open until 5am.

We did the boat trip to the Shipwreck with Captain Spiros (Levante Tours) and loved it, he is great fun.

All in all a very enjoyable stay

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view room, we were on the second floor which was great.

My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks at the end of august beginning of September. When we got our room we had a view of next doors pool which didn't bother us.. Bed were hard but nothing we couldnt deal with. Shower was an experience but this is to be expected in Greece! Breakfast we ate most mornings and although basic it kept us going to lunch time. If you are looking for a fry up the pool bar opens at 10 and offers them. Also the bar just down the road sandras bar opens at 9 and serves a good breakfast. The pool was great.. Always sunbeds available. We had a great holiday.. Somethings worth mentioning are the waterpark, Spiros speedboat trips to the shipwreck and turtle island ( we did both) were brilliant! Dont do the big boats as they can't get as in and out of the caves the way a speedboat can. Would also recommend hiring a car or buggy and exploring the island. We loved all the Greek food.. Places worth going to are Valentinas Castle, the olive tree and king prawn! Also if your looking for a good pub and friendly staff you must visit Paradise bar!! We loved it and will defo be back.

We have just returned from a weeks stay at Hotel Petros The staff (especially Sandra) were friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay as good as it could be. The pool was clean and plenty of sunbeds were available throughout the day.The breakfast (although continental) was sufficient with enough variety to make sure we didn't go hungry. This hotel is beautifully positioned on the outskirts of town with just a short walk to lots of excellent restaurants and bars. The beach is a longer walk.
We had a super time at this hotel and would not hesitate in recommending it to our friends and returning again next year!
