“Lovely stay in quiet hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2013

When you get dropped off by the coach you wonder 'Where on earth am i?' There isnt much about! But after exploring we discovered the beach about 20min walk away and the main strip 10-15mins. Well it always seemed to take us a while but then again we did dwardle.

The rooms are basic but everything you need. Although the shower curtain is hilariously useless. The pool area is good. There were always enough sunbeds and the whole area is kept very clean and tidy. The pool bar is fabulous -the food is fresh and good value for money. And it has an excellent range of beverages. The staff (Suzy in the day and Vanda at night) work very hard and are a credit to the hotel as are the reception staff ?Angela and ?Sandra and of course Tolly at night. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and although the hotel is not in the main hub of Tsilivi I would recommend it.
-Value for money
- Not a lot for children unless they can keep themselves entertained in the pool.
- Rooms cleaned daily to a high standard

Room Tip: Nothing is too much for the staff, if your not happy with something tell them!

We have just returned from the Petros after a 10 night holiday. The hotel is spotless everywhere and a credit to the lady who was always smiling while she worked (didn't find out what her name was). Our room was big and airy with a larger than expected bathroom. Yes the shower was a bit interesting especially the shower curtain but once you get used to the peculiarities of the plumbing you are fine. We didn't always get hot water for our shower, but it was always adequately warm. Our bed was hard and extremely comfortable, sheets were changed every other day as were the towels. Rooms cleaned everyday. There are some rooms which have larger balconies than we had and which got the afternoon/early evening sun but we still sat out on an evening with a drink. All the staff are really friendly and accommodating. Thanks to Suzie on the pool bar for lovely food and service. Thanks to Vanda on the pool bar in the evening for good company and great service and to Tolly (watch him - he likes to chuck people in the pool!!!!!!!) when he's not working as the night receptionist). The hotel is less than a 10 minute stroll)(turn right out of the hotel) into the main strip of Tsilivi where there are plenty of bars and restaurants. The hotel is a fabulous base with plenty of sunbeds if you prefer to stay by the pool and just keep nipping to the bar. But if you want the beach, again walk through the main town and turn right at Popeyes. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel but probably would not stay again ourselves as we normally do not do Bed and Breakfast and only chose this option this time as we had our son and his girlfriend with us. But never say never...........

My first impressions on arrival was that this hotel offered basic comforts..a bed, electricity, hot running water....everything you need though and very good value for money The most important things were cleanliness. This was attended to very well with the rooms, communal areas and especially the pool. What really made this hotel special was the staff. They were so friendly and helpful, it created a wonderful atmosphere in which to make new friends or be a s quiet as you like. Very conveniently situated for local village tavernas and shops. I would certainly go again :-)

Room Tip: Just speak to the reception staff who will help your requirements to be met.

I went and stayed in this hotel for my sister-in-laws wedding.

Positives are that the staff at reception are very good. However that is literally the only good imo.

The room was small even for a twin room, the view was of the side of the neighbouring hotel, the shower was dirty and the curtain was pretty much useless. To top it all off, one of the nights our bed literally broke in two, when I looked at how it happened it was obvious it had broken before and been botched together with ONE screw.

The lady at the pool bar was constantly grumpy, the man on a night was always smoking with his friends near the pool table although at least he was friendly.

The hotel is about 10 minutes walk to the decent food places and twice at least to the beach.

My brother-in-law paid less and stayed at the Princess Hotel, and although it could get noisey as it was in the centre, it was a lot better than this hotel.

The WiFi is also terrible, but no where near as bad as the breakfast.

Overall, the staff were ok and friendly at reception, everything else was a huge let down.

(After we complained of our bed breaking, they moved us to a ground floor room which was literally three times the size of the one we had before, maybe if we were given this room from the start everything would have seemed a lot different)

visited petros hotel for second time this aug/september. return visit was every bit as enjoyable as our first visit there last year. staff are very polite and helpful. all services are really good. you do pay extra for air con/fridge and safe in your room but i think this is still good value given the overall price for bed and brekfast. breakfasts good , packed lunch provided if requested if you are going out for the day . rooms are cleaned daily and clean towels provided. the hotel is just out of the centre of tsilivi and a nice walk in to centre at night for good choice of restaurant. snacks/ meals are reasonably priced and available at the pool bar. nice massage chair in foyer and used books library. we have visited zakynthos and tsilivi about 8 times now and this hotel is the best value accomodation we have had. fair to say it is also the cleanest and most comfortable we have stayed at in tsilivi. would return to petros and recommend it to couples and families.

Room Tip: we requested high room not facing the pool. we found it much quieter overlooking fields at the back...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Petros from Sept 20th to 1st Oct 2012. Sandra and Angela made us feel valued and efficiently sorted any problems with a smile. Suzan's poolside bar kept us going with a good selection of food and drinks whilst we relaxed around the poolside. We have to also give a mention to Dimi who looked after us at breakfast then went on to do a great job keeping our rooms clean and stocked up with fresh linen. To sum this hotel up we believe it to be great value for money in good location with warm friendly and welcoming staff. We would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel if we visit Tsilivi again and wish it continued success. Many thanks and best wishes Jean & Barry Moses room 305 .

Room Tip: Light sleepers would not not appreciate cockrels early morning calls opposite front of hotel. First...
