We stayed a week in May with my partner. I agree with the reviews that Sandra & Angela at the reception are exceptionally friendly, thank you girls. We didn't pay much for our package so we expected basic room which it was, however the cleanness of the room was the biggest disappointment. The bathroom needed a good clean and was never cleaned during our stay. The shower curtain didn't do its job and the bathroom was flooded every time we used the shower. We didn't need to use the air con or fridge, but the fridge wasn't clean inside either, there was a dead mosquito in it. The beds were hard, but it didn't affect my sleep at all, but my partner couldn't sleep well. Breakfast was nothing special. Pool area really lovely and lots of sunbeds. The hotel is 10 mins walk to the town, really pleasant especially if you had a lovely Greek meal - the portions are very big everywhere! We strongly recommend restaurant Ideal! The beach is 20 mins walk, we recommend the Boutique Beach Bar, very new and pleasant and the owner Dionisios and his staff will make sure your day is lovely. All in all we had lovely holidays but we wouldn't use this hotel next time. Enjoy Zante!

Our weeklong stay at petros made our holiday! the location of the hotel is ideal, only a 10 minute walk to the center of the village and the beach but far enough away so escape the noise. The rooms were spacious ans cleaned daily. The room balconies offer a fantastic view as do the poolside sun lounges. The pool it's self was a little chilly so early in the season but was clean and had a brilliant shallow section for kids. the breakfasts at the hotel had a wide range of Greek foods along with some English input. In conclusion, fab food, good pool, lovely staff and a room with a view! We will defiantly be returning

I stayed at hotel Petros for 2 weeks in June last year. Sandra and the staff are very friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are very clean and spacious, and the bathrooms are a good size too. The hotel is set in a quiet location without being too far from the main centre and the beach. Perfect for couples and families. Nice swimming pool and well stocked bar. Enjoyed it there so much, I am going back again in June. I wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending hotel Petros.

We stayed here for the second year in a row and found it just as welcoming as the first time! Although the breakfast is basic and could do with serving fresh fruit instead of tinned peaches, it was plentiful and fresh. Suzie in the pool side bar is a very hard working lady and works a long day during extreme heat so don't forget to tip generously! Rooms are basic but all Greek accommodation is like this! They are cleaned by friendly staff every day, including clean sheets. The walk into the main strip is only about ten minutes but you can stop for a drink en-route - we generally stopped at Candita's bar which is quiet and relaxing and run by lovely staff. The hotel is run by Sandra and Angela and they are only too happy to help if you have anything you need - including booking a taxi or horse and cart to a restaurant! We travelled with my sister, her husband and three teenage children so our party consisted of four adults and five teenagers who absolutely loved it here. The beach is about a 20 minute walk but well worth it. Highly recommend this hotel for guests of all ages.

Room Tip: Rooms 252 and 258 (I think?) are spacious enough for a family of 5. Rooms at the front of the hotel...

We stayed in this hotel for our wedding in September and the staff were fantastic. They bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed. We stayed in room 258 which had a huge balcony and a lovely view of the Greek countryside. The location was just right, not noisy and a very nice walk to the beach through Tsilivi. We had an unforgettable honeymoon and the Champagne Andrea and Sandra brought us on the day of our wedding was an unexpected treat. They really made our stay so special. We go to Greece every year and this hotel is our favourite. We will be going back to Zante and will stay at this hotel without a doubt.

My friend and I stayed here for a week in July and had a lovely time. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday!

The positives are the hotel is clean, friendly and quiet. All the staff and guests were pleasant and there was no need to get up at 6am to reserve a sunbed - plenty to go around! There is a pool side bar which does good food for a reasonable price, although alcoholic drinks were a bit pricey but always are at hotels! The hotel is about a 10 minute walk into the centre & 15-20 mins to the beach. There is a cheap shop 5 minute away towards the town to buy cheaper drinks also!

The negatives were the shower it is basically a drain with a curtain around which doesn't stop water flooding the bathroom floor! Also the beds are rock hard, but the room is a good size and the pool area is so nice it makes up for any bad points!

We had breakfast included but could only have it twice, the selection is very limited and not the best quality.

We found the resort itself very quiet, we are both late 20's and found that the bars/clubs were dead by 10, its more for families and couples!

We also did a daytrip to Kefalonia which was a lovely day, we didn't have our own transport so it was a good way to explore the Island. However we also made the mistake of going on the Island by sea tour which was basically circling Zante on a crammed boat for 8 hours, the views are just of rocks all day, in hindsight it would've been better to do the tour by coach so we could actually see the Island!
Overall I would definately recommend this hotel, just beware if you travel on early moring/night flights with Thomas Cook you have to checkout of your room at 12pm and wait around till 3am for the transfer to pick you up! Luckily the receptionist let us keep the room till we had to leave for an additional charge of 20 euros!

My best friend and I both aged 18, visited Zante for the first time and loved staying at Petros.

We arrived late in the day and after checking in, decided to cool of with a quick swim, but the nice receptionist came and said that she had forgotten to tell us the pool closed in the evening however we could stay in for 20 mins anyway. You have to pay extra for air con (around 30€), a fridge (15€) and a safe (10€) I can't remember the exact costs - but the fridge and air con are a must!! Our room had a lovely balcony which caught the sun all day, perfect for drying towels, breakfast was an open buffet, ham, cheese, cake, tinned peaches, eggs, toast, yogurt and cereal with a selection of drinks- we didn't drink the orange juice as it wasn't to our taste.

The hotel is tidy and clean, lovely large pool with very comfortable sunbeds - with always spare sunbeds available. The pool bar was nice and cheap - prefect for a Greek salad for lunch, and played the local radio station with current music but not so loud to disturb anyone.
Our sheets and towels were changed and the room cleaned, the shower was quite small but then its Greece! The staff were very helpful and quick to solve any problems, we discovered our toilet did not flush, and after speaking to the receptionist, when we came back to the hotel at the end of the day it was all fixed - very happy girls!! We found the lovely sandy beach a 15min walk away - don't let this put you off, you walk through the town and can choose from the huge choice of restaurants where to eat lunch/supper. A visit to Sweet Revenge and Trenta Nova are a must!!! We went to the Apollon restaurant one night and were hugely disappointed.

The hotel is a real gem, located in a quieter side of Zante, however there still are bars for cocktails and for dancing. However if you are looking for clubs then you should head to Laganas instead.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip, perfect for a relaxing holiday, lying in the sun by the pool.
