“A good time was had by all”
Reviewed 16 August 2013

We stayed here for a week from the 4th - 11th August. We were a family of eight with age range from 8 to 91! I booked the holiday so was apprehensive whether everybody would like it. Need not have been worried. The hotel was very good. The rooms were nicely decorated and clean and my daughter and family had a 'family room' which overlooked the pool, which had a lovely modern bathroom. We had a room at the back, which was quiet. The only problem was the shower room which was a little dated and may have been fine had the shower curtain reached the shower tray, but it was about 2 inches short and consequently all the water went over the floor and we had our own swimming pool, cum wet room! At night you could hear doors banging in the corridor and people walking past and talking, as the floors were all marble and the sound travelled, but after the first night we did not seem to notice it. Definitely did not keep us awake. The beds were firm and comfortable. The air conditioning at 35 euros a week was good value and was very effective. It was very hot when we were there and we could not have done without it. We asked to pay by credit card, which we thought we saw that you could, for the air conditioning for all of us but they said they only accepted cash! So just be aware this might happen. There is no lift as it is only on two floors, but you may want to request a ground floor room if you have someone elderly with you who may not be able to manage stairs.

The food was fine and everybody in our group found something every night that they liked. The choice is not vast, but it is all edible and the salads are really fresh.

We ate in the snack bar lunchtimes and the prices were reasonable. Cheeseburger and chips was about 6 euros. 500ml of beer was 2 euros 50 - the men in our group obviously thought that was good value as they seemed to drink a lot of them!!! Costas who worked in the bar was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble.

There is one Greek night, which was very good, but no other evening entertainment, so most people go out to bars in Tsivili in the evening. This is a 10 minute walk, and there are many bars and shops. We went to Escape Bar, which was good. If you turn left out of the hotel there is a bar just a few metres away where there is a bouncy castle and big inflatable slides for the children. It was very busy when we went there and the drinks are more expensive than in Tsivili itself, but good in the evenings if you have young children.

The swimming pool was clean and not too busy most of the time, but there were a lot of wasps around the edge of it, so you really have to be careful getting in and out of the pool, but the wasps seemed to take no notice of the people and did not bother you if you were sitting on the chairs around the pool.

If you want to do the turtle tour my best advice is BOOK AS SOON AS YOU ARRIVE. We went with Thomas Cook and there was so much demand that we were fortunate to get on the 6th trip of the week! I recommend it, We did not see many turtles, but it was an experience and you get two opportunities to get off the boat to swim in the beautifully clear sea, which both the 12 year old and 8 year old loved. They supply life jackets for those not that confident in the water.

We went to the Water Park, We had to get two taxis at a cost of 15 euros each way each taxi and then had to pay 18 euros for the adults and 14 for the children!!! About 162 euros for the day. You can pay by credit card. They do not allow you to take food and drink in so you need to factor in food and drinks as well. They did let the 91 year old in our party in for nothing as they realised she would not be going to use the facilities!! It was a good day out and the children loved it.

All in all a lovely family holiday was had, everybody came home happy after a lovely week.
One again made the decision to go to the Park Hotel once had read the reviews here on trip advisor and was not disappointed.

If you are looking for a lively place, do not go to the Park Hotel, there is very little around, just one other hotel and a couple of small shops, but that is what makes it perfect.

We would all go back again without hesitation.

Room Tip: Depends what you want. Rooms overlooking the pool are nice, but could be noisy as the bar is near s...

Just returned from 'The Park' hotel with my husband and two daughters and had the most fantastic holiday here in Tsilivi. The hotel is in a very quiet location but only a 10 minute easy walk into the town and 15 minutes to the beach. The hotel is extremely clean and well cared for and rooms are spacious and very well equipped with comfy beds, TV, Fridge, hairdryer, toiletries and plenty of fluffy white towels which are changed regularly also fabulous airconditioning at 35 euros per week and safe at 10 euros per week. The pool area is lovely and clean with plenty of beds, brollys and tables - plenty for everyone and nobody ever reserves so very very relaxed here. Only one evening of entertainment with greek dancers - very enjoyable evening. We enjoyed a wander into town in an evening with so many quality bars to choose it was lovely. Staff are so helpful and friendly. We went on a lovely trip called 'capital delights' from 4 til 10pm - visiting churches, winery, museum and then 3 hours in city of Zakynthos to eat and explore - excellent guide.

Would highly recommend this hotel if you enjoy a peaceful relaxed holiday. We will definitely return to this fabulous hotel, THANK YOU TO ALL THE LOVELY STAFF AT ' THE PARK'

Room Tip: all rooms looked to be fantastic. We had a very large room on front with sliding room devider, perf...

We have just returned from a week at the Park and I cannot speak too highly of the owners and staff. They were really fabulous and helped to make the week such a success. Nothing was too much and they were all fantastic with the two young boys of 8 and 6 in our party. The rooms were clean, the air conditioning very reasonable and very good, and the evenings were quiet. I don't think I heard anyone else in the adjoining rooms or the rooms above us and the hotel was full. Although a 10 minute walk from the beach the taxi's had a standard price so there was no bartering should you want to go by taxi. Because you are off the main drag there is a much quieter atmosphere. During the day the pool area seemed deserted and there was no towels on the lounger to save seats. Actually I found it wonderful that a large number of visitors to the hotel were in fact from Athens and other areas of Greece. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of visiting Tsilivi. The trips were also outstanding. I would certainly recommend using Nerfis for any of the trips to the turtles etc. Many thanks to the Park Hotel.

This was my 6th year returning to the Park, I was greeted by Paul; who mans reception during the night, and I was immediately made to feel welcome. Ilias showed me to my room, which was, as always perfect; spotlessly clean, fresh towels which are changed every 3 days unless you need them changed sooner, the bedding is changed every 2/3 days, the room is cleaned every day. In the main room there is excellent air conditioning, very comfortable beds, dressing table complete with mirror and hairdryer, a good sized wardrobe, a TV, a fridge and sliding doors leading to the balcony, furnished with table and chairs. The bathroom is a good size, and houses a shower unit. The water is as hot, or when the weather is as beautiful as it was in July this year, as cold as you like! Really refreshing after a day out or a lounge by the pool. A safe is also available in the room. The maids work tirelessly to keep the rooms and the hotel spotless. During the day the reception is always manned, with friendly, helpful staff. Adjacent to reception is a wonderful spacious lounge area, with computer stations, pool table, small library where books can be swapped, or to save on excess baggage on your homeward journey, you can leave your read books for other guests to enjoy. From the lounge is the dining area, again a spacious room, you can either choose to sit where you want, or wait to be shown to a table, by one of the helpful, friendly waiting staff. You can either order drinks at the bar, from Lefteris (excuse me if the spelling is wrong), the friendly evening barman, who will offer advice on local wines available, or prepare cocktails etc ...the choice is yours, or you may prefer to order your drinks from the wine waiter at your table. There is a good selection of food to suit all tastes, for starters you can choose soup or salad the choice of salad is wonderful, make sure to leave room for the main course, where there is always a traditional Greek dish plus other options for those with a less adventurous palette, there is also a choice of delicious desserts. Breakfast is equally as good with a range of choice including; cereals, continental, full English and sweet cakes. Toast, marmalade/ jam/ honey and bread are also available. To drink there is a coice of tea, coffee, chocolate and squash. Doors from the dining room lead to the outside bar and balcony to the pool area: the pool and surrounding area is exceptionally clean with sun beds, chairs, tables and sun shades. The bar is looked after by Costas during the day, you can get ice cold drinks and snacks or lunch, if you are still peckish after your ample breakfast that is! Beyond the pool is a grassed children's play area. One night a week is Greek Night where you can watch traditional Greek dancing, and also join in with the dancers guiding you.....you can also do your own thing if, like me the feet don't always do what the brain is telling them, it is always good fun to join in and have a giggle. The Park is situated in a quiet area with just a short walk to the shops, bars, restaurants and beach. You can return to the peace of the hotel at any time of night as the reception is manned at all times. Many guests return to the Park each year, and as I said this is my 6th year at the Park, it is a place I will visit for the foreseeable future, knowing that I will have a lovely relaxing holiday surrounded by friendly helpful staff. I look forward to my next stay at the Park.....which is in fact in August.

Wow what can we say, we booked a 10 night holiday for a huge family party of ten and took up 4 rooms, we didn't quite know what to expect but we were soooooo pleased with our experience.

The hotel rooms were excellent, stunningly decorated, communal areas immaculately clean and the rooms were cleaned daily, clean sheets every couple of days and the maids were so lovely. The staff were all so friendly, making mealtimes very enjoyable and took care of our every need (we even had a special taxi ride from the lovely owner one evening - such a nice touch) Costas in the pool snack bar couldn't do enough for you and our 3 year old daughter loved him but i wouldnt want to miss the fab waiters and the evening barman too x The pool was beautiful so much so we could barely pull ourselves away from it every day. The food was fabulous, a wonderful choice at breakfast and dinner and we have the fussiest of eaters in our party and everyone was kept v happy. Wonderful mini market a few mins away with the friendliest of owners. Everyone we spoke to was a repeat customer, they have a wonderful way with all guests and there is no wonder people return, we didn't want to leave and will be returning x

The resort itself comes alive in th evening which was fab for young and old alike, we had teenagers that loved the clubs and bars and met celebs in the local clubs, the reps took them to laganas for a bar crawl one night and some of our party visited the waterpark too x

We had a relaxing break that was made extra special by a wonderful hotel with fab staff and the best owner, thank you Ilias xx

See you next year!!!

Room Tip: Pool view rooms are best if you can get one xxx

just back after 2 weeks at the park hotel, the hotel was beautiful and clean, the rooms were lovely, the staff very friendly and the food was good only one night out of the 2 weeks was it dissapointing which is not bad for half board abroad. the location was just right just outside the centre of town so not too noisy, but only a short walk back at night, I last went to tsilivi in 2005 and there wasnt that much there at that time but i was surprised how much better it is now, its nice for couples and young familes, would definately go again maybe even next year

Room Tip: i think all rooms were good the only problem we had, was that ours was at the side of the hotel and...
