Just returned from the zante maris, myself and my wife spent two lovely weeks enjoying the hospitality of this hotel. The staff, from the management to the room maids were brilliant nothing was to much trouble, not that we had any. The hotel was kept clean and tidy and the rooms were big and airy with plenty of space for everything. The restaurant was really clean and tidy and the food was pretty good too, always hot with a reasonable choice. The theme nights held in the beach bar were a nice change, barricue, mexican, italian and greek nights, again good food and well worth a visit. The resort its self has plenty of tavernas and bars all within strolling distance, it is not loud or roudy its nice and friendly with the waters asking you if you would like to try their menus, but no hassle, a polite no and its have a nice evening and maybe tomorrow.
The beach is really good and only two steps from the hotel, the sea is really shallow and warm with easy access and a sandy bottom, nice and safe even if you are a non swimmer.
The bar servise is good with nice staff, the drinks are not bad ether.
The entertainment was better than average for a holiday hotel aswell,
Over all we had a fantastic stay and would have no hesitation recommending this hotel to anyone, we will be going back again for sure. Try it you wont be sorry.

Spent the last two weeks of august at the Zante Maris....we too booked because of the fab reviews. The positive things about the hotel were, it's location, our room was a ten second walk from the beach. The staff were really friendly. The rooms were comfy and kept fresh and clean by the really hard working maids. Now, for the not so good....the most disappointing thing had to be the food. It was pretty grim, after the first few days the smells from the restaurant actually made me want to walk out again....and we love our food! Don't consider ourselves to be fussy at all, but was really bland. Funny meat, in strange sauces, horrible salads, old George, who's been made to seem like he's a top chef, is just seen occasionally carving a dodgy joint of pork! The wine was vile! So drank the odd vodka, which guests helped themselves to....I actually prefer being served a drink, often saw lots of ants around the bottles at the beach bar, which helped me drink less! The entertainment started too late, i think, and was so loud. Our room was quite a long way away from the action, but the sound boomed into our room until 12 o clock every night and with a four year oll, thats not ideal. The resort itself was nice and lively, good to be able to stroll around the town. Shame to see the restaurants so quiet, am sure the food would have been a vast improvement on George's! Has, I'm afraid to say, put us off of ever going all inclusive again. Hate to moan, we spent a nice few quid on this holiday, and really had high hopes....we did still have a lovely time, but wanted to give an honest and straight forward review.

Just returned from a 10 day break having booked this hotel based on the fantastic reviews it had on Trip Advisor.

Without repeating what every other person says the hotel is in a fantastic location, on the beach (warm, shallow waters perfect for swimming); the grassy areas of the hotel next to the beach do get very busy and people were up early putting towels down to get 'their' spot. These were free to hotel residents so perfect for those who prefer the sea to the pool - I can't comment on the pool as we never used it.

This was our first all inclusive holiday and I would say was excellent value for money – my husband is notoriously fussy about his food & but still managed to put on weight over the 10 days! The complimentary bottles of water they left in your room every morning was a nice touch (we used to take these down to the beach for the day).

Overall, the hotel was spotlessly clean, the rooms large & airy, but with very dated bathrooms (ours leaked every time we had a shower, water running into the corridor) but the cleaners came in every day to change towels & bed linen etc. The only thing we found was the hotel was predominantly occupied by repeat guests and there were times when it could feel a little cliquey.

The resort itself is fairly small – some shops, supermarkets and various restaurants which sadly were mostly empty, perhaps due to the rise in ‘all inclusive’ hotels. This meant you did get hassled quite a lot when walking around in the evening. There was entertainment at the hotel which I don’t think started until quite late; we used to take a walk around town after dinner & by the time we got back to the hotel there was nowhere to sit so can’t really comment on this.

One thing I can definitely recommend are the speed boat trips offered by Cpt Spiros – we did the morning one to the caves and had a fantastic trip, informative and great fun, and tried to book the afternoon one to see the turtles but they were fully booked. These are a little more expensive than others (40e) but well worth it.

For older couples this is a great hotel for a relaxing holiday; location wise it’s perfect, only a 20 minute transfer from the airport, and overall there’s little to complain about the hotel (unless you’re extremely fussy!) I would definitely return for a 2nd holiday here except with so many other Greek islands to visit & other countries to try, why would you keep returning to the same place??!!

Room Tip: HIgher floors (2nd & 3rd floors), away from the restaurant/bar

Hi, We stayed here on recommendation of my mother and father in law who went in June this year and returned with us on 28th August!.... ( this time for two weeks instead of one!)

Check in - Very Fast

Room -.... On the ground floor close to the pool, Found immediately, was completely spotless, air conditioning ( although i believe this is july/aug only ) we had a room with the view to the road, i would have liked a pool view, however i wasent in my room long enough to worry about this and it did help with the noise at night ;-) ................... New towels daily, new bedding every two days, cleaners left the place very clean.

Food - Absolutly brilliant, thoroughly cooked, no illness from our family or any reported familys throughout our stay. I am very fussy and always found something, my son lived on chips ( which was a shame, it would have been nice to have childrens option too? ie: nuggets, pizza, fish fingers ect.. the general fussy eating child)

The restaurant was my favorite place to eat, there was also pool bars and one which was on the beach with amazing views and it was a really nice part to our holiday being able to sit there day and night .... All Inclusive option definatley recommended.

( hidden costs, ice cream 2 euro .... except free in the restaurant at lunch time )

Staff - every single one brilliant, polite, happy go lucky people. Manager really makes an effort, which was lovely to see.

Beach - on your door step, lovely sandy beach and Zant Maris definately has the best part of it. Sea goes out for ages, shallow, warm see through waters. Beautiful and great for the kids. Right outside are Boat trips, Pedlow's, Jet Skis,Banan boats ect,.... a stones throw away!

Despite having my luggage lost for the first two days on the way out, our holiday was just brilliant. I cant fault anything really. We would definately return here, it was a lovely holiday to remember...

** Slight general issues... ( not for the complex or staff -Customers in general ) ..... Bringing in stray dogs to the complex to feed and water them, please if you wish to do this have a little respect for those who do not wish to be surrounded by pets, have the decency to take the food out to the animal and feed on the beach/ road, not when when someone is sitting there trying to feed themselves!!! Its un-hygenic and disrespectful to others.

Secondly, again a matter of selfishness, queing for lunch/dinner took no longer than 60 seconds, yet some decide that thats too long and feel the need to skip the que, put the staff ( and themselves ) at risk of burning themselves whilst staff carrying large hot replenishments of food, by going around the ''staff area'' .... the reason there are glass protectors is to protect the food from things such as hair ect, and this area is solely for staff to move safely. I would suggest this needs addressing by the staff and the general brits should learn to wait and dont be so impatient !! **

The waterpark at Tsilivi was a minute taxi ride away, this was also brilliant.

Glen our rep, very helpful, also thanks to Debbie at the Airport for all her helf with the missing luggage also.

Thank you for a fantastic Holiday Zante Maris, we will be back ;0)

Just came back from Zante Maris, all we can say is we loved everything about our holiday there. Staff were fab, very warm and friendly unlike others we have been to.Room very clean only problems at time was with shower and no water at night to wash, but this did not spoil our stay as was soon resolved. Food suitable for all tastes, breakfast especially nice. Would not hesitate to return next year and certainly hope to.

Room Tip: Pool View second floor
