This is a lovely hotel . All inclusive is great, the staff cannot do enough to make your stay enjoyable. But if you want a sun lounger by the pool you have to be up at 4 AM to reserve your spot. Many sun loungers stay only occupied by their towel till late in the afternoon . The food is good but lacking in seasoning. Beware writting anything negative in the comment book in receptipon its a waste of time, they remove it . I wonder if they have the guests at the top of their list.

Room Tip: pool view is good , quiet after 8 pm

Well first off I would like to say that I have visited this hotel 3 times. The staff, the food, the rooms and the views are just amazing. I just adore this hotel.
I love Tsilivi and this is by far the best hotel in the resort. Right on the beach and a few minutes walk from the bars and restaurants. The sound from the bars and restaurants does not travel, so you can still have a brilliant nights sleep and a quiet, relaxing few hours by the pool.

The situation of this hotel is brilliant and the food is varied and delicious.. I have been to Tsilivi 4 times, and though the hotel we stayed at on one of our visits was nice, it was not a patch on the Zante Maris. I would...and do, on a regular basis, recommend this hotel to anyone.

The indoor pool is my favourite...I'm a wimp so don't tend to swim in the outdoor pools if it is abit chilly. Plus my partner wears goggles...this can embarrass me especially when he pretends to snorkel, so being indoors away from spectators is preferred :).

If you didn't sense the tone...this place is great and if you are considering booking, stop considering and do it.

Myself, husband, daughter and son in-law stayed here 27th August to 10th Sept. This was our third visit to Tsilivi but our first to the Zante Maris also our first All inclusive. We had two sea view rooms overlooking the beach,it was perfect. The cleaning staff were excellent, clean towels and bed linen every day and tea, coffee and water replenished every day.All of the staff went out of their way to make sure everyone had a lovely holiday, special mention to,Dritan, Georgia,Morgan and the barman(i think his name was Billy) The food was very good, always something to eat.The drinks are self service at lunch time and in the beach bar.We did not sit round the pool as we prefer the beach, although even on the loungers on the beach people were putting towels on at 7 am.The loungers on the grassed area were very tightly packed together and did obstruct the sea view for ground floor rooms, so if you pay for a sea view make sure you are not on the ground floor. We went to the entertainment some nights but preferred to go to the beach bar and listen to the sea, lots of cute cats there also mozzies so make sure you put insect repellant on.The sea is very clear and shallow for a long way out and so warm, however this year there was about a metre of pebbles on the shoreline so if you have delicate feet, take some swim shoes. If you fancy a change from the hotel food there are plenty on taverna's in Tsilivi all reasonably priced. For boat trips Captain Spiros is recommended.Must mention, i had my 68th birthday while we were there and Georgia laid a special table with balloons and wine and she and the staff came with a cake and sang happy birthday,it made it so special. The staff here are a credit to the hotel. As we are celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary next year we have booked Thassos in May Skiathos in June and the Zante Maris 2nd Sept as we enjoyed it so much, hope nothing changes it was perfect.

Room Tip: If you pay for a sea view be aware the ground floor ones on the front have loungers and umbellas obs...

We stayed the Zante Maris Hotel in July 2013 and were an adult family of 6 the youngest being 24 and the eldest 73.
From setting foot inside the hotel we were met by a very friendly receptionist and were booked in very quickly. We were given rooms 366 and 368 which had great views of the pool and the sea, rooms were very clean and spacious.
The hotel has a lovely location on the beach and the beach bar is a great place to sit and watch the sea.
The staff were fantastic especially Morgan she always had a smile time for a chat. The food was very nice and there was always something to eat. Georgia was always welcoming and put herself out for the guests.
The Greek nights were our favourite, great food and great entertainment, we loved the greek dancing.
I have to mention the bar staff also they worked very hard and always had a smile on their faces.
All in all this was one of the best holidays we as a family have had and we are coming back next July. Keep up the good work Zante Maris :-)

Stayed here for 2 weeks in October 2013, having stayed here twice previously in 2005 and 2008. We stayed in Room 323 on the top floor overlooking both the pool and the sea. Although, at our own request, we had a high floor, the lifts were always available so there was no problem having to climb the stairways. The room was kept clean and tidy by the room staff who were very pleasant at all times.Replacement bottled water was left on a daily basis, (our previous stays weren't all inclusive and there was only bottled water on arrival) which was very welcome. Although we were staying towards the end of the season (the hotel closed 3 days after we had left) the entertainment was on each evening. This included a quiz for which we won a prize for coming last :) a female singer one night and a male singer the following night, a talent competition, Greek dancers, and karaoke. The only down for us on the holiday was thar the plate warmer was not working during the last week, meaning that the food was luke warm when we got to the table. Other than that ,Georgia who managed the restaurant was very efficient and helpful and went out of her way to provide relaxed dining. Newspapers are available on a daily basis, and Suri, who runs the on-site shop was very patient when the deliveries were sometimes delayed. Dritan, the overall manager ran a tight ship which made our holiday very relaxing and enjoyable. We will come back!

Room Tip: A top floor has the advantage of not having to suffer any noise from above. We were also at the end...

Me, my hubby and my 15 year old daughter stayed here during the last two weeks in August this year. The hotel's location could not be better - right next to/on the beach! The beach is spotlessly clean and the sea is warm and calm, ideal for swimming in and very shallow for quite a long way out.Two loungers on the beach cost 6 euro for a day but you can have hotel ones for free, although they need to be located within hotel grounds.
The hotel was very, very friendly and staff took time to get to know guests and look after them really well Nothing was too much trouble! Rooms were kept immaculately clean everyday - new sheets and bedding, bottles of water in room and floors all washed etc daily. Air conditioning in our room was brilliant - a little noisy and a bit dated but having said that, it was reliable and kept the temperature down, especially at night! We asked for and got a room with a pool view, down the end by the sea also. In my opinion we had one of the best pool view rooms as it was away from the noise of the bar and entertainment and also had good views.
Food was the usual all-inclusive mixture of Greek and other foods, with theme nights which were good (Greek, Mexican and Italian). Drinks were all-inclusive until 11pm at night and you could pour your own from the many bottles of cheap brands around the hotel. All got a bit samey and dull after a while though. Entertainment was nightly starting at 9pm ish. Bingo, singers, quizzes etc...the animation team were two people only and they did there best, given little resources.
If you stay here, you must go on a 'Captain Spiros' boat trip to Turtle Island for a half-day. Very authentic, great speed boat, safety taken very seriously. A man comes around and sells tickets for the trip daily (to the guests on loungers by the pool area). Another must is to have a massage - Chinese ladies come around daily and I had a back massage for 20 Euros for half an hour as did my husband. All above board and absolutely wonderful!
The only thing that put me off staying here again was that most other guests were also British and many lived near to Gatwick...therefore it was sometimes easy to forget that you were abroad, experiencing another culture etc when some people clearly wanted to keep it 'Little Britain!'
However, Zante is a beautiful island and as ever, the Greek people are charming and warm. The hotel is a little out-dated but many of the positives outweigh this. I probably won't go back but I rarely so return to the same hotel twice.

Room Tip: overlooking the pool, away from the bar/entertainment area
